1985 S-10 Tahoe with V-8 Purchased this street driven S-10 Tahoe in 2001. Shortly after the purchase I made plans to install a V-8. A lot of work with time and effort has been put into this truck and can be considered as a ground up restoration. I used a JTR handbook as a guide for installing the V-8. The chassis has been thoroughly cleaned and painted. All new suspension parts, tie rod ends, ball joints, brakes, etc. have been replaced. The engine has been installed so that a long water pump with a mechanical fan can be used. This truck has a Chevy 350 with a Turbo 350 transmission. Comp Cams 262, Hedman headers, B&M shifter, Corvette aluminum radiator, VDO tach, gauges, Bell Tech 2” drop spindles/lowering blocks, 3.42 positraction rear end, new gas tank/sending unit, and new front windshield. One single Big Block Flowmaster muffler is part of this complete exhaust system. This truck has not been driven in the last year and a half and there were no issues with engine, trans, brakes, etc. It will start and can be driven for loading, but the tires are dry rotted. Just added a new battery and starter. No test drives on the street because insurance has been canceled. Needs electrical work, power windows move up/down slowly, heater, radio, horn, wipers and dome light does not work. Door jam switches disconnected. No headliner, sun visors or wiper arms. Light surface rust on roof from outdoor exposure. Body dings but no major accidents. Purchased a larger truck so no time to finish the work on this one. The following items come with the purchase: new carpet, body seals set, grill, tail lights and a used front bumper. Please look at the pictures and feel free to email me with any questions.
