The Good: This A6 2.7T with a rare 6-speed is a one-owner car that I purchased new in 2000. Car was serviced regularly; I have all service records as well as the original purchase sticker. Exterior is in near-perfect condition - never in an accident and no dents or rust. Leather interior has no rips or tears. Very clean! Engine and transmission work great - no leaks or problems. Clean Car Fax. The Bad: Following a heavy rain, water leaked into the passenger compartment (pine needles were plugging the drain lines) and onto the floor. Car was then totally dried out, but water damaged the ECU located under the driver's seat. I was going to replace the ECU, but I put the car into the garage and I never repaired it. THAT WAS ELEVEN YEARS AGO. Car has sat inside a conditioned garage since 2007 and has not been driven or titled since. I sold the building where I stored the car; now I need to sell the car. The car starts and runs fine, but there are lots of electrical "gremlins" (dashboard warning lights, power windows don't work, etc, etc.). As a result, I am selling the car as-is, with no warranty or representations. The Opportunity: Replace the ECU and the car should run like new (I think!). Or, this would make a great parts car - everything looks brand new and works fine. The car is driveable, but buyer should plan on towing it due to electrical issues. Car also needs new tires. I won't ship it; local pick up only (suburban Chicago).
