Vehicle Detail
1955 BMW R50 with factory sidecar. I purchased this bike from the second owner. The pictures here a little dated, the tires have been replaced with new Metzger side car tires. It was tuned up, new points, plugs, condenser, carbs cleaned, fluids changed. Gas tank lined with Caswell. It has not been restored, just wiped down to preserve all the funky old paint. The engine runs well, there is an old crank in a box, so at some point the engine was rebuilt. The transmission shifts well. This bike is very original two owner bike that comes with 4 boxes of original paperwork and parts including the original bill of sale. The bike was in Scotland and Kuwait in the 1950's It spent time in Pennsylvania in the 60's and 70's. I bought it in Colorado and it now resides in Texas. Clean Texas title. Sold as is, without warranty. The only known issue is the factory sidecar hydraulic brake doesn't appear to function very well. Actual mileage is unknown It will start right up and cruise down the road. Please ask questions I can provide more photos or video if required. Buyer to pay shipping, and any PayPal fee's for any payment other than the deposit. There are 3 not 4 that hold BMW stuff, this includes letters, receipts, original bill of sale and parts taken off or ordered for the bike over its lifetime. Please ask more questions if you have them Thanks, Jay On Jun-04-18 at 18:29:42 PDT, seller added the following information: A question was asked about the final drive The ratio is 26/6 and there is no letter "S" stamped on the transmission where the cable attaches
