With high end builds costing huge $$$$, why start and pay extra with a running and driving car when all those parts are going to be tossed anyway? This 69 is an excellent candidate for a build. Sure it will need some sheet metal but it needs it at all the places you were going to cut into anyways. Detroit Speed & Engineering rear mini-tub with rolled rear quarters for 335 rear tires? Gotta cut the quarters to do it rights. Full length through the floorpan sub-frame connectors for that 750hp Supercharged Coyote? Gotta cut the floors. You want to fit that Coyote in there? Gotta cut the fender aprons to get the towers out. Pretty much anywhere there is rust on this car you would be modifying anyway. If you plan on staying with a stock configuration this car is a good candidate also as the areas needing attention are pretty much standard fare for the Mustang breed. The advantage is that several of the areas have been stripped down and are ready or nearly ready to start the installation of the new metal. This one is fairly complete with its body parts all there. The interior has the hard parts like seating, instrumentation, rear package tray, top bows, wiring, etc. The power steering components are there less the pump. Rear 8" differential is still in place too. Brakes are drum and will obviously need rebuilt/replacing. This is a rare opportunity for the right enthusiast or builder.
