Vehicle Detail

Solid, rust-free, 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback. 289/Auto. Currently, this Arizona car runs, drives and shifts fine. What makes this fastback unique is compared to all of the other eBay listings, this one is the sweet spot, not a $80K trailer queen, but not a $12K "needs restoration" rust bucket with missing floorboards and no drivetrain. Instead, you can buy this and drive right up onto the trailer, bring it home, and enjoy all summer long! After 18 months of negotiation, I bought the car from an 80+ year old lady in Tucson, Arizona. This car is well-known in Tucson, as it was stored outdoors next to a very popular hiking trail. You can see in one of the photos, she kept every offer to purchase the car she ever received as people walked by the car, some offers up to $15K. These will be included with the sale, as will all other related documentation (period correct license plate, etc.). According to her and the records provided, she purchased the car in approximately 1997 and infrequently drove it. Previous to her, it was restored in the mid-1990's. I believe that the following was done at that time: -Cleanly and completely painted Red, over the OEM Springtime Yellow, also adding the "C" stripes. -Cleanly and completely painted flat black in the engine bay, I believe this is factory correct. -Added chrome styled steel GT wheels (actually stamped with Ford part numbers) and GT hubcaps, GT gas cap. -Rebuilt the factory 289, and dded 4 bbl Edelbrock intake manifold and 4 bbl carb.-Rebuilt the C4 auto trans currently in the car, added chrome valve covers, oil breather, chrome alternator, etc.--This is all documented in an appraisal from 1996. For 2018, I spent nearly $5,000 on purchase/install of the following new items: -tires (full size spare included) -brakes (wheel cylinders, shoes, master cylinder, etc.) -cooling (copper/brass radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses, etc.) *Requires system flush as persistent scale causes overheating, has since caused small leak near water pump. -fuel (4 bbl Edelbrock carb, fuel tank, fuel pump, Mr. Gasket air cleaner with K&N style filter, etc.) -misc (new battery, belts, rear diff service, trans fluid, oil change, headlight switch, LED bulbs, etc.) -HVAC (HVAC switches work. A/C likely to work as was fully serviced with R-12 by mechanic who ordered new expansion valve. Valve is included with sale, just not yet installed as part did not arrive before I picked up car. I have all receipts for anything completed during my ownership and these will be put into a 3-ring binder, along with all historical documents, including the Marti report. Also, there are some extra parts that will be included as well. The interior is 95% complete due to proper care during dry climate storage. Only blemishes are small tears in vinyl in passenger seat, passenger sun visor, rear seat and drivers door panel. The rest is normal patina. No cracking in dash pad, all gauges appear to work, etc. Car currently has no radio, however it has a working power antenna. Perfect "desert patina" as is, or the oxidation can be easily removed. This was done in a few test areas (door jambs, etc.) and the underlying paint is in surprisingly great shape. The odometer currently reflects 23,424 miles and is subject to change before the sale. Clean/clear AZ title. I am an 18-year eBay member. Please ask questions before bidding. If you would like to inspect the vehicle, please make arrangements to do so before bidding so you have all your questions answered. Good luck!
