1968 Dodge Dart GT : 2 Door Post Coupe440ci w/ Hurst shifted 4-speed A-834 NO RESERVE auction starting at $14,950 for seven days -- no hidden reserve.SoCal & Arizona RUST FREE: Absolutely ZERO rust or corrosion, anywhere. Car has now been built to the following specs; replicating the Dodge Scat Pack drag cars from back in the day.Incredibly good running, very strong period correct 440 c.i. HP motor. Big cam, roller rockers, Keith Black pistons. I have all paperwork describing. New CENTERFORCE clutch with LAKEWOOD bellhousing scattershield.Switch operated (on dash) electric solenoid operated 'cut out' for each header outlet. Also includes full exhaust to rear with Dyno Max mufflers. Car is relatively quiet until you open up those cut outs--then it sounds like a drag car. See last photos. Smooth operating roller needle bearings on all brake-clutch-throttle pedal pivot points. EDELBROCK intake & carb. This motor starts almost instantly & runs fantastic.Mopar Performance electronic ignition, vintage.Huge aftermarket aluminum 4 core radiator.Bulletproof STRANGE 'sure grip' SPOOL racing rear end differential 3.89-1. This rear end is almost indestructible. NOT a locker rear end; this is a positraction unit -- very streetable. Disc Brakes (front). All brakes are fresh. Car stops briskly & straight.New KYB gas shocks all around.Full stainless steel exhaust from manifolds back--headers, collectors, cut outs, full length pipes, and mufflers--all stainless. New steering box. No slop. New brakes. New steering bushings (polyurethane). Vintage A-100 (Dodge van) racing seats w/custom built brushed aluminum seat mounts, which is a cool nod to the Scat-Pac Mopars of the 60's. Interior all new: seat cushions & covers, carpeting, headliner, door cards, dash, etc.Fiberglass open scoop A/FX style racing hood. New sub frame connectors welded in for structural rigidity and designed to eliminate frame twist at full throttle.These are tucked in nice and tight and don't hang down like traction bars. See last photos. Brand NEW BFG Radial T/A tires (widths of 255 & 235; 60 series) RWL mounted onBrand NEW Mopar Magnum 500 15" wheels ( 7" & 8" ). Zero miles on tires & wheels--these are brand new. I left the protective blue coating on the letters so you can remove. Dash gauge instrumentation; speedo, alt, & fuel are working. Additional aftermarket guages under dash work great. All window glass excellent. All windows have new regulators w/smooth operation.All chrome & stainless trim are excellent. NEEDS: will need both windshield wiper arms & blades (was never a problem here in rainless AZ desert). Clear coat on paint is WEAK and flaking. Hard to see in photos but trust me, it is. Sold on an AZ Restored Salvage title showing 41,900 Box 'A' (original) miles. Car has been inspected by both CA and AZ motor vehicle departments and safety certified for daily use. Currently titled and registered in my name in AZ. Car started out life as a slant 6 w/auto trans. No original data plates visible.I was told by the previous owner (and builder of the car) that this was an insurance theft recovery, and NOT a 'total' due to some accident. When crawling under car, everything is straight and clean--body panels are nice, doors-hood-trunk open close nicely, so I believe him. Car drives straight and true, stops true, and feels nice and tight with no slop in drive train. Also, he told me he chose this post coupe due to it's much higher structural rigidity of chassis (just like Dodge did with their factory drag cars) compared to the hardtop version. Previous owner told me that he had spent over 2 years building this car, and I have receipts totaling over $30K. In my opinion, this is a $30K car as is.
