For sale is my absolutely gorgeous, unmolested 1978 Honda GoldWing GL1000 survivor. She's 40 years old and been ridden (but only 14k miles) so she's not perfect but it would be extremely difficult if not impossible to find another in this condition that has not been restored. I purchased it last year from the estate of the original owner who passed away - it had been stored all these years in a dry, heated garage and it shows. The paint, chrome, seat, and gauges are all in excellent condition - this bike could very easily be turned into a mint show bike. Here's what I have done to it:Replaced the timing beltsReplaced the spark plugsCleaned the fuel tankReplaced the fuel lines and filterFlushed and filled the radiatorReplaced the lower coolant hoseFresh oil change and filterChanged the final drive oilCleaned points and set the timingChecked and adjusted the valvesOverhauled the carbs with a Randakk carb kit - the best you can buyReplaced the brake fluid (front and rear)New battery Here are some things that aren't perfect:Tires - they're in ok shape but old so they should be replaced. I held off replacing them just so a new owner can put on what they like. Gauges - having sat for so long the speedo and tach needles are "slow". This is a common occurrence with these bikes and there are several places that can rebuild them. The gauges are absolutely pristine so I did not want to have anyone open them up and risk damaging them.Neutral indicator light - works occasionally.Headlight - high beam does not work. Right rear exhaust - although chrome is great it has some light blueing/discoloration on it.Right side cover - has a small notch on the rear side of it (not really visible), looks like they may have had some bags mounted at some point and notched it to fit. She is an awesome bike and great for vintage bike shows/rides. As I said, she's 40 years old, not perfect, and I can't warranty it - what you see is what you get. I'm flexible on working with your shipping company to get the bike to you. Bike does need to be picked up within 3 weeks of auction close.
