Please don't be a richard and bid/buy if you don't have any intention of completing the purchase*** This Corvette came into the current owners possession through a lifelong friend. The Corvette found its way into a storage building where it sat for many many years. It then went to a local shop where it sat inside waiting for the right time to restore the car. Unfortunately the owner had life throw him a few curve balls and even though he would love to restore this car he just can't at this time. The owner decided to sell the vehicle as is so someone else can love and bring it back to life. This 1967 Corvette Convertible started its life out as a Goodwood Green w/Green interior and a white convertible top. This information is verified through the partial build sheet that was located with the vehicle and the trim data plate. The current state of the car is silver with red striping and red velour interior. The interior and other trim has been removed and is boxed in totes and in storage on site. It appears the last time the Corvette was on road was 1990. I was advised from the current owner that the car was ran at the local track at times. The original 427 engine was stolen when a previous owner had block work done. The current owner has a 396 big block engine that has been machined and worked at a local machine shop. You can see the invoice for the work on that engine. The engine has been turned periodically and kept in climate controlled space since being built, but I cannot attest if it will need to be reworked before being built the rest of the way and installed. The 4 speed manual transmission is in the car and needs to be rebuilt per the current owner. The period correct 427 heads were also rebuilt at the time the motor was rebuilt. The casting # for the block is 3869854 (69 to 72). The heads casting numbers are 3919840 (67 -69 396/427). I have the tri-duece setup carburators and OEM intake. I also have a 4bbl carb and intake setup that will go with the car. I have the triangle factory tri-duece chrome breather. The owner stated he has recently turned the block and it is free and smooth as it should be. All parts are in one place inside my shop. If you wish to come look through the parts or see the car you are welcome anytime. I am located in Nashville TN. I have 3 full sythetic rubber pallets (ski) full of boxes of totes. I have the rest of the larger items in the shop wrapped. I have all bumpers (plus one extra), the convertible top frame, the side pipe covers, the grills, the trim, the side pipe exhaust, the headlight buckets etc etc. I have the radiator, the radiator shroud, and everything else to make this a complete car. The frame and undercarriage shows surface scale rust with no rust through. The frame is solid. There is a dent on the passenger side underneath the passenger door that could possibly require attention if it bothers you. The current owner stated the damage was there when they were driving it and it is covered up with the factory side pipes. For a restoration this would need to be addressed. The car is a 4 wheel disc brake car with heavy duty brake lines and other heavy duty components. The suspension and other components of the car are present with surface scale rust. The car has been in storage for the better part of its life after 1990. The car has previously sat in a storage unit with all its parts prior to coming to my shop almost a year ago. The car has then been stored inside the shop with the parts of totes on site. The birdcage seems fine with no rust and multiple inside/outside pictures were taken. I can only list 24 photos on ebay so I attempted to double up some of the photographs for the information to be present and visible. Some of the paperwork was located in a file folder that has information as to build date from NCRS, an email from the prior owner detailing the theft of the motor and other specs. The original build sheet was found on the gas tank but when the current owner removed it the build sheet separated. The photo of the build sheet is in the pictures and shows some options of the vehicle and show it is a 427, 390hp vehicle with 4 bbl carb. It also shows convertible top color, tire specs, rear end gearing closed ratio 355 and factory side pipes. The body is in good condition for a car of this age. There is some work that has been done to the car from the prior owner. The car appears to have had fender flare work done to extend the fender flares out. It appears to be a good job and isn’t completely awful to look at. You can see the work done to the fender flares in the multiple pictures. Please bid accordingly.
