Vehicle Detail

For sale is my Lexus LX 450. I am the second owner. It has 174,000 miles (not many for these trucks) I bought the vehicle 10 years ago with 58,000 miles. This has been my primary driver. It is an incredible vehicle. This is the last year of the bold body style. I still receive many compliments on this vehicle. It is distinct and recognizable. I remain amazed at how many people ask me about the car and are surprised by the age. I am selling it as I no longer need a 7 passenger car and am moving to a pick up truck. The car has been stored inside the majority of the time I have had it. It has received all required maintenance. I would not hesitate to drive this across the country, even with 174,000 miles. As I take care of my vehicles and even though selling I have just spent $1,200 on new brakes, rotors and rear brake calipers. (Late April) I would not sell anything that I wouldn't let my kids drive. Here are the things that I have done: - New brakes (noted above) -New radiator (3 years back) -New AC core -Oil change every 3,500 miles -Two transmission fluid changes since I have purchased - Timing belt -Auxillary floor mats ... you will see the pictures of the carpet. Like New! -The Aluminum wheels were reglazed just before I bought it and they still look great. -Transmission and transfer case oil changed at regular intervals The paint on this Lexus is like nothing I have seen. It still shines like new. There is not rust on the car. The frame and body are in very good shape. It runs like a champ. The AC blows cold (very cold) and heater works well down into single digits. The stereo is factory and is the best stereo I have ever had in a vehicle. The sound is deep and clear. The sunroof is enormous. It has the glass, the solid panel if you want to block out the sun and has 2 position open and full slide. It works great. The rear seats are the super convenient flip ups. I love this design and have questioned why others have not followed. The can be flipped up and attached within 15 seconds. The split design allows for flexible space / passenger capability. I was looking a long time in 2008 for a Land Cruiser and I found this. A little disappointed at first but could not pass up due to the condition. Buying this was a great move. The looks of a land cruiser, the interior features of a Lexus ... including an ultra quit highway ride. If I were to keep the car, I would change the tires before winter. They are absolutely fine for summer and rain but would be challenged in the snow. The vehicle is not perfect. I will share all of the imperfections: - The rear tailgate and deck are creased (my daughter backed into a pole at the coffee shop). It was not bad enough for me to fix and does not impede gate operation. -The front seats no longer move. The motors are fine its the plastic gear that are bound. All members of my family drive in the same seat position so I manually set and that is where they stayed. -The power antenna is not automatic. I pull up 12" and get great reception -Rear defroster does not work -The edges of the front hood are slightly raised. This mysteriously happened after a trip to the mechanic. The hood is tight so I did not touch. Likely can be adjusted. -The driver's seat has a wear hole in the center (not punctured). The leather got brittle and split. I am including two really nice leather seat covers for the front seats that match the interior very well. -The left rear molding was side swiped in a parking lot. I have re-secured it but there are some scuffs. (see the pictures). The vehicle has a clean title and never been wrecked or been in a vendor bender other than the two minor ones I have listed here. In summary, this is a great truck. It is ready to run another 100,000 miles at least. Ask any knowledgeable mechanic about the drivetrain on these vehicles. I have added pictures to show the undercarriage as it is very solid and in excellent condition.
