Volkswagen 1973 VW Bus, Type 2, Transporter, Kombi, Microbus PINK. This bus is adorable pastel pink on the outside and ready to be totally customized on the inside. Surfboard racks on top and an open/close sunroof. Perfect for glamping, tea parties, or buzzing around town in style! All inside panels included for your customization. I was planning to put in a vintage love seat or settee with a cute little wooden table ready to entertain guests and admirers. A mini chandelier was going to be a must. I had the pretty floral wallpaper all picked out for her ceiling too. Finding a bus this color was impossible and almost impossible to come up with this gorgeous pastel color. Just think of the fun names you can come up with for her! We couldn't decide between The Pink Palace, The Pink Martini, or Lula Belle. I was going to use vintage lace table cloths for curtains....either that or pink tutu tulle. Why in the world am I selling her? Because I'm clutsy and fell and broke my left wrist and knee cap. Bye bye clutch driving for me! Could easily be modified for wheelchair ramp or fold down stairs. NADA estimates low retail price of $12,300, medium of $ 26,600 and high retail of $55,000. This is a perfect restoration or decorating project! Great for a photographer as the ultimate prop! My friend who is a mechanic gave me his opinion as below: I heard back from him and this is what he said: He said not much work is needed other than reworking the carburetor, an air filter for the engine and the transmission may need some adjusting with the gates (getting into the gears when shifting). We have driven it around town. It needs to warm up a little before it goes out on the road. The vent/roof leaks but I broke my wrist so wasn't able to do add another seal to it. It is an old bus so the seals on the windows are older and have some cracking. There is no rust that I can see. I have difficulties getting it into reverse, but my husband is able to.
