Vehicle Detail

This quite literally breaks my heart. I have to sell my baby, a 2009 Pontiac Solstice hardtop coupe GXP. I have loved this car. Its turbo four cylinder is the best of both worlds, providing usable torque and acceleration, as well as surprisingly good fuel mileage for a sports car. I am averaging just under 21 MPG daily driving through traffic to and from work. To that end the current mileage just passed 78,000, but note that this will go gradually as I continue to drive her. This coupe was the final year of all Pontiac production, including the excellent Solstice GXP. This Solstice was #306 of the 1,266 coupes ever produced (http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/f114/comprehensive-solstice-coupe-production-numbers-data-61972/) . Haggarty has consistently ranked the Solstice Coupe as a “Future Classic” and one of the top collectible cars to buy now (https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2012/05/04/five-future-automotive-collectibles). A lower mileage version of this same coupe sold for $24,500 recently and was viewed as good stash candidate (http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2016/02/digestible-collectible-2009-pontiac-solstice-coupe/ ). Google “Haggerty Solstice Coupe” to find several articles citing this car as one to own. Had I been smarter, this would still be mothballed, but I loved this car too much not to drive it. She has been regularly maintained, detailed, and hand washed. The few modifications made have all been upgrades and utilized GM OEM parts whenever possible: · GMPP – GM’s performance division tune, installing a better airflow sensor and ECU flash to bump up horsepower and torque. This tune was completed by Sewell GMC, formerly Sewell Pontiac-GMC in Dallas. The exact figures for the tune vary, and I have never dyno’d this car, so feel free to Google to get an idea what gains this tune has made · OEM GM Opel antenna – The Kappa platform was used by Saturn, Pontiac, and Opel, as all were owned by GM at the time. The Opel had an antenna that wasn’t taller than the car and still functions just as well as the original. This is the antenna currently on the car. · OEM Pontiac rubber mats – Yes, the original fabric mats are underneath a rubber set, unmolested. These rubber mats were GM’s alternative to aftermarket catchall mats. I preferred these because they did not require anchor mounts in the carpet and were a better fit for the car · 3M Ceramic window tint – The goal was not darkness, simply heat reduction. As a result I had 3M ceramic tint installed professionally. The reduction in visibility is minimum, but the reduction in heat is palpable. Ceramic tint also does not fade like dye-based tints would over time. I have had this tint on since 2012 with no fading or issues. · Tires – Obviously 78k miles will go past your first set of tires. I replaced with Yokohama’s including replacement warranty purchased at Discount Tire less than 10,000 miles ago and a little over one year ago. The paperwork for the warranty will go with the sale of the car That’s it! The aero effects (aka “gravel catchers” or “mud flaps”) were factory options on the original build sheet, as was the red accent stitching on the black leather. These coupes feature a removable hard top to give you the option of open-air motoring. The notable downside is that GM didn’t engineer the top to collapse or make the back big enough to hold the top (like a Dodge Viper). I bought this car from the original owner with 1,400 miles on the clock. I have babied this car ever since. Never smoked in or near, and never put through a machine car wash. I will include as many maintenance records as I can find as well as the original owner’s manual and OEM wheel lock key.The buyer is welcome to arrange shipping for the vehicle, but pick up is certainly a viable option as well. I would confidently drive the car anywhere. She has made numerous trips across Texas and back and forth to Oklahoma without issue. Check out the 17 photos attached. This car looks great and always had a way to make me look back after parking her, which is hard to find in a daily driver. I have a clean title in hand and am hopeful that the new owner will love this car as much as I have.
