Hi! Thanks for checking out my auction! You are bidding on a piece of history, a 1972 Type 2 volkswagen Westfalia camper van with a pop top. This bus has an engine and transmission but I do not know the current condition of the engine. The engine had been rebuilt last before sitting for a while. I could not get the slider door open and had a tough time trying to get the engine compartment open. I did not want to break anything so I did not continue on with it. I am pretty sure the odometer had said 60K. Again I know very little about vehicles but I will answer any questions that you may have and will send pics of certain things if necessary. Also I will require an immediate deposit of $500 if you are a winning bidder just to cover fees and such. I will not be able to ship or transport the vehicle but you are more than free to arrange shipping or come and tow it yourself. The tires are currently flat on the vehicle. I will clean sheets and pillows and such out of the vehicle as well. I just wanted to get as many photos as soon as possible for the listing. If you have any questions I would be more than happy to answer any of them and send pictures of anything if necessary. I purchased this vehicle recently from a friend of mines grandmother as she needed it off of the property. I do not have a title and the vehicle is being sold as is. I have a bill of sale. On Apr-12-18 at 14:52:17 PDT, seller added the following information: The book for this vehicle says Campmobile 70. It is a 1972. Again I do not know much at all about this vehicle other than that it is very rare. I do not know if it is considered a westfalia or not but I am sure someone with the knowledge bidding on this vehicle will know. I have the vehicle located at my house now and it was able to be towed with flat tires so the tires were not seized up. I was able to get the engine compartment open and there is an engine. Of course the battery is dead but the engine oil looks clean. Again the old owner said the vehicles engine was rebuilt before it sat for years and years. Vehicle being sold as is without title.
