1978 California 911SC Targa starting @ $1978.00 and NO RESERVE. Outstanding, turnkey, honest, sorted, beautiful, rust free, no accidents, no excuses example. Complete and comprehensive, bare metal, stripped down, taken apart, glass out, repaint in PPG 2/stage Adventurine Green (taken from the later 964/993 color family), over Caramel Cork interior. Show car quality work, done over the last 2 years and has seen only a handful of miles this year since completion. I tried hard to get pictures to do justice to just how amazing this color combo is, but rest a assured, the car is even more impressive in person. 155,313 original miles. @ 124,669 miles in '04, the original motor got a complete, case opened, motor rebuild @ IPB-Autosport, one of Sacramento's premier and most respected independent shops. Everything was rebuilt. New pistons, rings, studs, machine work, seals, oil fed tensioners, pop-off valve, etc. @ 134,379 miles in '05, the car got a complete rebuild of the 915 Transmission, also @ IPB-Autosport. The ownership at IPB bought this car shortly after the trans rebuild from it's original owner and it has been a pet project for them over the last several years. I acquired the car from IPB in fully finished form earlier this month. Over $26,000 in IPB receipts included, detailing work mentioned above (I have them on PDF file also & available on request anytime during the auction as well). This amount doesn't even include the labor and expense by IPB after acquiring it. Car has, among many other things too numerous to list here: Stage 3 fully restored Targa Top from CARS Inc. (the very best in the bus. for decades). New Targa top seals, both on the top, windshield frame and rear bar. New Windshield and seal. New rear window seal. New body seals. Show quality, recently finished, flawless paint in Adventurine Green. Flawless original Fuchs wheels. New tires. Lowered and corner balanced. Mind blowing original Cork interior. No dash cracks, stains, odors, etc. Newer clutch. Newer brake system rebuild including rebuilt calipers. Excellent glass throughout. Rebuilt motor and trans (as mentioned above). No leaks, smoking, issues or excuses. Original '78 owners manual, Jack, spare and bra. NOS, NLA old stock never before used until placed in this car, manufactured in Germany, 4 piece Chocolate floor mat set. Period correct, great working Blaupunkt am/fm cassette with original door speakers. Period Correct Mach1 rear shelf speaker unit covered in correct Cork vinyl. New power antenna. New alternator. Car runs fantastic. A truly exhilarating experience behind the wheel. Without exaggeration, the car feels like they did when they were new.
