Up for auction is this1949, Desoto, Custom, 4 door sedan. Suicide doors. Flat Head, 6 cylinder engine with Fluid Drive, semi automatic transmission. All original paint, body, interior and driveline. Interior is in good condition for it's age. The car runs and will drive well after brakes are done. It is an early 1949 model. The original paint is extremely dull with some surface rust starting to bleed through the paint as seen in photographs. It needs complete brakes, the right front brakes are locked up and brake pedal goes to the floor. Prior to the brakes locking up the car ran a d drove good. You can hear it run but cannot drive it due to condition of the brakes, the odometer shows 20,500, I believe to be original miles based on the oil change records on the doorjamb and I've had this car for over 20 years. I am selling "as is" local pickup. Buyer will need a trailer to take this car. Complete, original unmodified cars like this are getting harder and harder to find. Thanks for looking, happy bidding.
