My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2003 Land Rover Discovery. The Discovery is a simple and rugged 4x4 that can handle pretty much anything you throw at it. I would rate the exterior of this Disco to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. On the whole, this isn't a bad looking truck. The white finish shows well for an older vehicle, but isn't perfect. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice that there are lots of little cosmetic issues. There are lots of broken, loose or missing trim pieces. The left fender doesn't line up well with the front of the driver's door. There is a noticeable gap between the top corner of the left rear door and the body of the truck, too. This truck is definitely a ten footer, maybe 20. All of the glass and lenses look good. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in decent rubber. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully so you know what to expect with this truck. I would also rate the interior of this Land Rover to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. If I'm being honest, the interior isn't too hateful. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age. The leather seats also show well for their age and are comfortable. The headliner is sagging, which is normal. Also, the bezel around the instrument cluster is loose. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The audio system is original and also appears to be working properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for both the driver and passenger. It's too cold out to confirm that the air conditioner is cooling effectively but I can tell you that the heater works well. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Land Rover appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.6L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. There is a leak somewhere in the power steering system. I don't know where it's leaking from or how fast, I just know it was low on fluid when I got the truck. The engine keeps proper temperature and feels smooth. On a hunch, based on the loose plastic piece around the instrument cluster, I looked when I turned the key on and the check engine light does not bulb check, which tells me that somebody removed it. I don't know why, so please don't ask. I'm just telling you what I know and can see for myself. The truck drives down the road just fine. Gear changes through the automatic transmission are nice and smooth, just like they should be. The full time 4WD system is tested and working properly. In case you're not familiar with these trucks, you should know that this engine has the typical 4.6L tap. It's common, but I don't want you to be blind sided if you are not previously familiar with these trucks. If you're looking for a 4x4 that is tough as nails, this old Disco should fit the bill.
