So I am selling another gem out of my retirement collection. Hate to do it but bills to pay. Bought this from my neighbor 6 years ago. His grandfather bought it new. He used it to haul tv tower sections and installing them. I am the second owner. It runs and drives great. It has just been sitting so probably needs the brake cylinders looked at etc. It is original down to the spare tire and jack to change it. It has a 3 on the tree shifter on the column. Make your own Scooby Doo theme van or drive it as is for an original antique. The paint inside is original and fresh looking. Also check out my other auctions...one is a 66' 4x4 Chev fleet side pickup that has 26K original miles on it!! Added 3/25/2018 - 90" wheelbase, Has side doors with windows. The worst dent is by the LR tail light and you can see it in photos. Drove/Started 3 years ago. Always stored inside by the original owner and myself. Hub caps present. Added 3/27/2018 - More photos have been added. A very informative "van expert" (Has rebuilt and sold over 50 of these) came from St. Louis today to look at it. He gives it and "8" out of "10". The belly pan in front is there, not bad rust around the gas filler, roof not caved in, steering etc tight as it should be for 50K miles, etc. We found the original owners manual, verified that the ignition key fits the door locks, etc. He did say that to do it proper it would need new rocker panels but that they were available. Again a solid "8" was his rating and verified that it was original miles. More...drip edge on top is good, doors all open/close properly and tightly. All door handles are present, tight and work properly. Windows all roll up/down nicely. Glass is good. Always had carpet in it so the floor is undamaged and paint looks great inside. No rust inside the doors or where they mate. This is a solid as they come. Look for 66 Chevrolet van then click on "sold listings" in the left hand column to see one from Cali (same color) that was junk compared to this one and brought about what I have this starting at. It ran and drove great when I backed it into the barn several years ago. It has no battery or fuel. There is a flat tire that is visible in the belly pan photo. I would not expect to come here and drive it home. It could well get an hour or two's attention in fueling/battery/etc. and drive itself onto the trailer. I would plan on hauling it to your destination just to be safe & sure. As i mentioned the slave cylinders could have dried out. The flat tire could fail. All that being said you will be hard pressed to find a better start to a rebuild or to drive in original condition after checking it out. Your call. Thank you for your bids.
