We used this great 2000 Infiniti I30t as our Baby Step 1 and 2 car from 2010 until this January when we finished Baby Step 2 and moved up to a 2005 model. This car still makes weekly 2 hour trips! The Good: Starts and runs well! Smooth, "Touring" ride! Leather Interior is still in good shape after 18 years! Adult driven Non smoking owner AC is ice cold Heat is lava hot Never modded or hot-rodded! Sunroof that works 100%, no leaks! Two memory seat position settings Deep tinted windows! Electronic windows, locks, seats, all work! AM/FM Touch Screen Stereo with Phone Sync and Backup Camera! Plays DVDs too - even while you're driving! (don't do that!) Expansive room in the back seat for kids or other adults! Automatically adjusts tilt-steering and seat when you sit down and turn on the key! Homelink system for Garage doors! (Handles 3 devices) So much more! We loved this car! Mechanical stuff we've done: New starter in 2016 New electric motor mounts 2015 New battery in 2016 New tires in 2016 New MAF sensor in 2014 New oxygen sensors all around in 2015 Regular oil/air filter changes at 3000-4000 miles The Bad: There's a few blemishes in the paint, it's 18 years old :) There's a crack on the passenger side of the window done when a parking lot was being resurfaced next to my work. Doesn't affect driving sight. Replacement cost is $125.00 Driver's side front tire has a slow leak, about once every 2 weeks you need to put air in it. Or put fix-a-flat in it and call it good. Emergency brake release is a plastic handle and it broke. We pull it out with a pair of pliers. Comes with replacement handle that I bought and haven't installed yet. The cup holder cover is cracked. See pics. The storage on the dash is cracked. See pics. The armrest has a little worn spot. See pics. Under AC controls is scratched (it's a rubberized material). See pics. SES light is on with Pcodes (According to O'Reily's) P0141 P0731 P1320 P0733 P0134 These SES codes haven't affected the drive. We still drive it all the time back and forth over an hour each way to work. And if you think you need a whole new motor or transmission in future they're $300 on car-parts.com Not too shabby! Repair costs on this model are so low, and that's one of the reasons they make a great Dave Ramsey Car! If anything goes wrong, fix it for pennies! Any questions? Just ask!
