Vehicle Detail
(Full gallery with 80+ images) This five speed 1969 912 is ready to drive and then some. Mechanically and structurally, its just about as solid as you could ever hope for.5 Speed, shifts and drives beautifullyNardi Wood Steering WheelFuchs AlloysShoulder seat belts and headrests for safetyClean title w/ current tags good until June ’18No rust I’ve owned this 912 for just over 10 years. For several years, it was my daily driver. For the last few years it’s been for Sunday cruises and occasionally renting out for photo shoots. It has been regularly maintained, but I’ve just had it gone over with a fine-tooth comb at the renowned Mistress Silverlake (if the car stays in LA, I would highly recommend them as your go-to mechanic). They addressed anything and everything of concern, with specific attention to safety and mechanical integrity. Work done included: New Pirelli P6000 High Performance TiresNew batteryValve adjustmentPoints adjustmentOil changeNew fuel and oil filtersNew spark plugs and wiresNew brake hosesNew brake calipersNew carb gasketsNew drive beltNew bushings for shift rod and leverNew shift rod couplingNew sway bar bushings Non original flat-four engine. At the time I purchased it, the odometer wasn’t functioning, so I can’t be certain of mileage, but it runs clean and like a champ. I had the odometer rebuilt shortly after purchasing it and it now reads 19k miles. All the other gauges are also working, however the clock does not work. The paint and trim seals could use addressing, although there is something pretty tough about the distressed black patina. A few areas have been repainted or touched up, so there are some noticeable variations in the finish (notably the hood and passenger door panel). I did try to represent the paint as accurately as possible in the photos. Originally Bahama Yellow, it was repainted bright yellow at some point, and eventually the current black. There are some chips in the paint, and several small blemishes in the surface. The only dent to note is subtle, and about the size of a lime, just behind the driver's side front headlight (detail photo in linked gallery). Interior is very presentable, but does not include all of the original amenities. No radio, and the cabin fan blower has been removed (before my time), so there is currently no interior heating or fan. I can help with shipping, but you’d have to arrange the specifics. Thanks for checking out the listing and I’m happy to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge.
