I have driven it on a few 100 mile trips . Honestly it’s so bad on fuel you can watch the needle move on the interstate . I run a mix of 25 percent Aviation fuel with 93 . It loves race fuel and aviation fuel when I can get it . Mega money was spent in a radical tear down and rebuild in 2014 and 2015 , lots of rare 1987 Grand National parts , built on a 1985 Buick Regal factory slick top local NC virgin no rust body . Please look at this Buick’s CarFax . Corvette white , PUI dark claret cloth ( burgundy ) NOS 1987 bucket seat and console interior that looks like a brand new car . Built for street tire shoot outs and G body shoot out races . In drag racing use this car eats automatic transmissions including built turbo 350s , with normal driving they hold up , we were told this big block 402 has 600HP , maybe it does maybe it doesn't . I have never found the transmission guy in my area that has the talent to keep a transmission together for more than 10 passes on the drag strip , a working good virgin GM 700R4 transmission is included but will need monster updates or better yet a manual transmission conversion to hold up to severe duty or keep your foot out of it . With its custom headers and exhaust it's a PITA to swap . Its current 700R4 is on the verge . It eats built turbo 350s also for all you turbo 350 fans . Built to the hilt 402 BBC , demon carb , 3:73 gears . Heads started out life as oval port closed chamber 101cc , Paint is base clear PPG 2015 Corvette Arctic White WA9567 , Interior is dark Claret PUI and Genuine GM , it has zero fade , dash is perfect , entire car is rust free , frame is perfect , entire front end as rebuilt , tires have zero miles , Grand National wheels are excellent used examples and shine like new with no rust . They love turtle wax rubbing compound in the green can , heat , radio , work , speedometer works when a 700R4 with a cable tail shaft is in it . ———Rear end is a 7.5 with Moser engineering internals , posi 3:73 ,——. all brakes are new , ac system is replaced in the dash , there are no brackets or compressor on the engine , No I don’t have them . the fans are dual electric with a controller , the radiator is a 4 core aluminum radiator . It runs cool in the hottest summer day . You will not be cool on the hottest summer day . Car smells new because it is new . New front fender liners , new wheel well moldings and all exterior Grand National blacked out trim . Stainless steel exhaust from front to back , All jambs look as good as the rest of the car , request any custom photos and I will send them . There is an extra tested virgin 700R4 transmission that comes with the Buick . You could make the trip with this transmission in place if you kept you foot out of it . I will not help swap or swap it and your not tiring up my shop to do it . Also you are going to spend a fortune on fuel and you need some aviation gas to add or your going to have detonation issues (Q) What would you do to improve the Buick (A) I would contact Monster and buy one of their high end transmissions or convert he car to a manual set up to handle the big Block low end torque .A four link rear end set up would be a great add on also (Q) Will you help load the car if I send someone there and will it move ? (A) Yes we will load it start to finish and it has all 3 forward gears and reverse on a 2500 stall (Q) Will you sell the Buick less it’s engine transmission and all the underhood goodies ? (A) The only way I will answer that is if somebody is in front of me with cash in hand , and then it’s going through EBay , talks cheep . (Q) Has anybody been out to look at the Buick ?
