Vehicle Detail
This is my unfinished restoration project. It's got lots of really great parts, but not everything needed to make it run. It's been on my "to do" list for way too long. Time to let someone finish it up and enjoy it. FRAME & SWINGARM: The frame has a VIN number of XR75-1130389. The frame and the swingarm have both been professionally powdercoated. ENGINE: I had it rebuilt by a Honda mechanic using new parts. This was about 10 years ago and it has not been fired up since. Serial Number is XR75E-1131180 TIRES & WHEELS: The tires and tubes are new. The wheels, spokes and spoke nipples are also new. I laced the wheels myself and you may need to true the wheels before the motorcycle will be complete. The hubs are from a donor 1974 XR75. I had them professionally polished FUEL TANK: I bought this on eBay. I had it cleaned by a local rediator shop that dipped it in a cleaning solution which removed everything that should not be there. It was then coated on the inside to keep it clean and rust-free. The fill cap is new. I painted it with a GM auto paint that was a pretty close math to the original grey. SEAT: I bought seat pan and a cover and mailed it off to a guy that made it look good. Show quality? Probably not, but still looks really good. FENDERS & NUMBER PLATES: I found a guy in Australia who makes replica pieces out of fiberglass. He does great work and they came out looking really good. EXHAUST PIPE: It's an aftermarket pipe that looks a lot like the DG pipe I had as a kid. I have it attached to the motorcycle with a strap just for the photo. You'll need the bracket to mount it. MISSING PARTS: There are several. You should think of this as a collection of parts rather than a complete motorcycle. The clutch is not installed although I have one I'll include with it. The carb is not there, either. Additionally, there are many bits and pieces (rubber grommets, nuts, bolts, etc...) that will be needed to complete this nice little motorcycle. There is no chain or coutershaft sprocket. The wiring/electrical components are also needed. It's a beautiful little project that's hard to part with. I simply don't have the time to get the job done and hate to see it just sitting in the garage. TITLE: I will give you a Bill of Sale. It has never been registered since I have owned the frame. SHIPPING: You'll have to pick it up here in SoCal. I would be willing to drive up to 100 miles to meet you if that helps.
