Vehicle Detail
1968 Plymouth Roadrunner. Original color was JJ1 Gold with gold and parchment decor interior. 383 automatic transmission; power steering, power brakes. Currently white with black interior. This was a running and driving car that was restored in the early 1990's. I disassembled the car because I was in between restoration projects, to replace the floor pans and the trunk floor. I was unfortunately unable to get back to the car to complete the restoration. The car is 99% complete. Engine & transmission: I have a 440 that was rebuilt and running in the car, along with it's automatic 727 transmission. I also have a 1968 383 Roadrunner engine, from another Roadrunner that I owned, that goes with the car. The car has a 8 3/4 rear end, 3:23 gears, is my assumption (educated). Body: Both quarter panels have been replaced. The fenders, doors and hood are original and in good restoration condition. The trunk lid may have grown legs and got tired of waiting on the restoration because it's missing. The trunk lid panel, grill, window glass are all in good restoration condition. Interior: I refinished the seats, the door panels were new. The interior is 95% included and in good restoration condition. I have an additional dash from a 1968 Roadrunner. I have a manual steering column if the buyer wants to convert it to a manual to better burn rubber. I have an additional heater box, I can go on and on and I will if you're interested in the car and the other parts that I have in storage that I will let the buyer choose from upon their inspection of the extra parts. I have restored Concourse level Mopar muscle cars over the last 30 years of my life. This car is easily restorable and has extreme potential to make money for the restorer, if so desired. The car was my father's but he has lost interest in restorations and has asked me to sell it; I'm hoping that an enthusiast will see the potential and make it a beauty again. Please contact me with any questions, I may have forgotten something since it's hard to type this through the tears in my eyes....no, seriously.
