I am the original owner of this 240D. I am a mechanic and this has been one of my most reliable automobiles. It has a 2.4 Liter 4 cylinder engine with standard 4 speed transmission. Since it is a Diesel, it will never need to be smog tested. In 1982, this car defined luxury, now it is considered a collector vehicle. It has never been in an accident. The diesel engine runs great. It's not uncommon for this 2.4 liter engine to run for 1,000,000 miles. Tires are new and have 4,000 miles on them. No oil leaks. You will get approx 28 MPG.
