Vehicle Detail

VIN: 3GNFK16R6XG116283I'm letting go of my beloved 9-passenger 2/4WD '99 Suburban. Clean Title. I bought this when the kids were small from the original owner (a friend who wanted something fancier) and it has been my daily commuter, project-hauler, weekend-tripper, camper, and friend for almost 17 years. I now need a 3/4 ton to tow my new tiny house so I have bought the 2500K version of this same Suburban and need to let this 1500K one go. Her name is Chakote and she has 165,855 miles on her. She got a new engine at about 80K miles (I loaned it to a friend for a weekend and the original engine failed within days of getting it back... grumble). I have kept up with oil changes and regular maintenance on the new engine. She has new pads and rotors in the front and plenty left on the pads in the back.Front bench seat! This is my favorite feature... means I can fit 9 people and my sweetheart and I can snuggle in the front ;-) The 3rd row seat is removable.Perfect for camping... throw a full size mattress in the back and you are ready to go!The exterior is in great shape... the paint is excellent. A few dents and dings here and there... I can tell you the story of every one :-sI added a tow bar many years ago, but only thing I towed was a tiny Uhaul open trailer... once. The interior is also in good shape... Vinyl seats and rubber floors means super-easy cleaning. It is a "super-basic" package (I think it was made for the Forest Service) which means all the electronic stuff like power windows and mirrors that fail at this age just don't exist, so everything works! The engine starts easy every time and runs great for any distance. It does knock a little (at idle when in gear), and the compression is marginal on two of 8 cylinders so the computer complains about "misfire" now and then, but she has run like that for years and given me zero problems. I do need to top off oil and coolant between oil changes. I was in a minor fender-bender that was reported about 9 years ago. Damaged front bumper and hood, but no engine or structural damage. Here is a check-list that I encourage you to verify for yourself. I created it when shopping for my new (used) truck. All these check out OK on her...1. All Gauges2. Warning lights (Check engine on due to misfire)3. Dash Illumination4. Climate control5. Heat/Defroster6. Mirrors7. Glove box lights and open/close8.
