1979 Honda CBX

You are looking at a Mostly original ( all accept pipes, battery, and the finned cam covers and some paint work on the tail piece) very rare factory equipped Euro sport version 1979 Honda CBX SS. It is part of my collection of 79 CBXs, 83 V65 Magna, and 83 V45 Magnas. It has had no mechanical repairs performed accept an upgraded yellow wire system under the side cover very minor thing. It does have a small dent in the tank but to mess up this gorgeous black paint on the tank is beyond me so the tiny dent goes with the bike. The rear tail piece has been repaired and painted because they became brittle with age and were prone to cracking. The engine has no ceramic plating, no re-plated nuts or bolts, no buffed out parts, no parts from a junk CBX, side covers never painted. It looks like it did have the front turn signals replaced at some time due to cracking very common. Everything works like a new one. The amp gauge work great, all regular maintenance is brought up to date by me. I don't drive the bikes much any more and this CBX needs to be ridden. Carbs are clean but may need to be synced. Starts rite away but throttle is a little slow to return when it is first started, when warm it's good, just needs to be driven.The previous owner and myself have taken very good care of this machine and it shows. This CBX has not been rebuilt in any way, it has low miles. The original owner says the Black color is factory which sounds more like a dealer option. I bought my first Honda 305 scrambler new and it was pure metal flake gold, I know some dealers were very creative with customers wanting stuff that the bikes did not come with like exhaust parts, colors ect. My son came home with a brand new Black V65 Magna in 83 but Honda never offered a black one in 83. How did I ever wind up with 2 black 83 V65 Magnas and a Siren Blue 83 V65, which is very rare. I believe this Mostly Original Black CBX is one the cleanest un-restored 79 CBX to appear on E-Bay. I will arrange shipping if needed, and oversee the loading of the bike if shipped.
