Vehicle Detail
1964 MG Midget MK II w/ 1098cc High Compression engine, Left Hand Steering VIN - GAN3L27217; ENGINE NO. - 10CG Da H 7098 So why is this Midget for sale?Aging owner no longer able to work on it and is moving to "no storage" housing. Since buying the car 10 years ago the car has always been garaged indoors, and has been driven less than 300 miles. The midget was last serviced on Jan. 22, 2018 and last licensed in New York State in 2014 but is not currently licensed for the road. The major work done by current owner includes Installed a complete new wiring harness. Rebuilt the front suspension.Replaced the transmission and clutch.Striped & repainted the engine compartment and the front under-body. Convertible top - the car came to me with a non-standard convertible top that fastened to the rear deck with 12 snap fasteners. We removed the 12 snaps, added the 2 chrome bullet fasteners for the tonneau and / or the convertible top but we do not have the top for the car, a good tonneau is with the car. The car has just been tuned up and given a mechanical "clean bill of health" by the best British car shop on the south-western Florida gulf coast .. Twin Cam SportsCars (Steve Smith) of Sarasota Fl. Car features include- Upgraded upholstery and carpeting (in good condition, by former owner). 5 knock-off wire spoke wheels and good tires. Undercoating The car is rust-free; - in all the work we have done we have found no evidence of prior body work, body panel rust or accident damageVinyl zippered tonneau cover. I am including a good set of technical and restoration manuals (including the British Leyland spec book) along with a plastic coated, color coded "Prospero's Garage" wiring diagram that matches the newly installed wiring harness and many of the receipts from Moss Motors or World Wide Imports for replacement parts purchased. The car is located in Charlotte County Florida.
