1981 Mercedes 380SL - This is the best color combination for the SL - Bright red with a tan interior!! Mechanically solid car, starts, runs, drives, shifts smooth and as it should, drives freeway speeds nicely. The engine has been updated with a double row timing chain (US models of the 380SL in 1981 are originally equipped with a single row timing chain). The wheels have been updated to the later model 560SL style of wheels. Canvas convertible top is in nice shape with no leaks... the interior headliner portion of the top does have cracking fabric visible only from the inside. Condition of the overall car does show wear, but seems to be above average for an un restored/un-molested original. I have driven this car over 1000 miles with no issues. Feels like an easy daily driver, or an awesome classic after repairing the clear coat. Low reserve!
