Vehicle Detail

1969 Mustang HT Coupe, code 6 Acapulco Blue paint with 8B knitted bench seat interior. I have a Marti Report. This car is 1 of 224 coupes in these colors with bench seat. No fastbacks or convertible had this color combination and knitted bench seat. The Marti report also shows this Mustang as factory AM/FM radio car but the original Ford radio was replaced with aftermarket. Factory speakers in the doors. Engine runs very, very good with NO SMOKE or noises--quiet and tight little 200 six. New gas tank installed, rebuilt carburetor and fresh oil. Drives down the road straight with ZERO play in the steering wheel--I have never seen such a solid driver as this little six cylinder Mustang. Accelerates like a small V8!!! Transmission shifts are tight. Good body and all original. Automatic transmission with power steering. Has factory reinforced shock towers like a 428 Cobra Jet or Boss are on this Mustang---a factory fluke? Driver's torque box has rust, but floors, shock towers and rails are great. Quarter panels are good as are the trunk floors. Paint is peeling in spots---damn base/clear coat. Acrylic enamel is better as Ford painted them in those days. Built and sold new in San Jose California with DSO number of 72. New gas gauge not working. Good headliner. Has a swollen spot on the rear passenger quarter (see photo). Driver door glass is loose and needs re-glued. I repaired one leaking trans cooler line at the radiator connection, but the other I patched at the same radiator connection with a clamp. The car stops OK, but WILL NEED a good brake job to be really road safe--new master cylinder and wheels cylinders will do. Use DOT 5 brake fluid. Selling "as is" and I reserve the right to end auction early since it is advertised locally. Really a nice little coupe, fun to drive with bench seat and rare AM/FM option. Gas gauge and heater blower fan do NOT work. Because there are no speakers in the doors I cannot say if the radio works, but it does light up. Thanks. On Aug-13-17 at 19:55:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Tires are old.On Aug-14-17 at 11:00:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Today I noticed the car's oil pressure gauge reads low, so I screwed in my Snap-On oil pressure mechanical gauge for an accurate reading. It reads 45 PSI pressure at cold idling 600 RPM and 30 PSI when idling hot. These are excellent oil pressure readings. I attach a picture of the cold reading.
