1974 VOLKSWAGEN BUS (DRIVES BUT NEEDS FIXING) This bus was used as a mobile photo booth for events.Vehicle had been in great, drivable condition for the last 3 years. Bus started feeling a little less powerful in 4th gear than I was use to, I looked at the spark plugs and there was oil getting on one of the plugs. I took it into a certified vintage VW shop. Mechanic diagnosed the problem and determined that one of the rocker panels was stripped and/or damaged and that the engine would need to be rebuilt. The mechanic pulled the rocker shafts out of the panel for me and I have those parts to give to buyer. My mechanical skills are at about zero so I am not sure if the entire engine will need to be rebuilt or if the rocker panel itself can be fixed. The bus can still turn on and drive, however it is running on 3 cylinders and it was suggested by the mechanic to not drive it long distances. Tires only have about 300 miles on themBattery is newand pretty much everything under the body is in great shape. The body has some bondo work to fill dents from previous owner that could be redone, other than that, the body is in good shape. all of the window seals are new (except for driver and passenger side windows) , however, the half wing windows were rusted and the seals don't fit 100% I am sure this is something that could be fixed rather easily, I was going to replace the wing windows with solid fixed windows in the cab but never got around to it. As mentioned, bus was used as a mobile photo.Instead of cleaning it out, I decided to sell as is. There is a divider wall between middle and front of bus with a 28" vizio TV. (TV& remote is included) the vinyl ceiling and seat upholstery are newTHERE IS NO MIDDLE BENCH. I'll include the cover with it as well.There are a few "DIY" things I did to the bus that you'll probably want to get rid of or redo (like the curtains, hardwood flooring, int. panels etc..)Spare tire included. Title is in handthe Locking mechanism on the sliding door does not work with the key. Not sure if the handle just needs to be replaced but that is a pretty cheap fix.The gas gauge needs to be fixed or replaced, when its full, the gauge works until about half a tank, but for whatever reason it will show empty after that even though its 1/2 full. I only have one key for the ignition and 1 key for the gas cap so you'll need to make copies.Windshield glass is new, but the rest of the glass is original. I have a couple of boxes of spare parts that I'll leave in the trunk of the bus.
