Vehicle Detail

I am selling my Honda V 65 Magna, which is part of my Honda Muscle Bike collection. I'm running out of room, and I"m not riding them enough. Its hard to let go of this Magna, this one is 95% Original except for tires, battery, seat, light bulbs, brake pads ect. The previous owner had the tank and side covers freshened up, and 1 Tab on a side cover repaired. There is no re-chrome no re-plated nuts or bolts. The engine has never been taken out or taken apart, no clutch work ect. It runs and drives like new. It is as clean as any I've seen in the 65 yrs I have been riding. I switched to Hondas in 1967 when my 1967 Sportster " Hi Fi Pink " ( What was I thinking) was Gobbled up by a friends 450 Honda. I purchased a 450 Honda the same day at Honda Town on W. Lake st in Mpls, and never considered any thing but a Honda since. I have always said,If I ever get beat by another stock bike, I would buy the same thing that beat me on my Honda. That never happened. Today the 65 Magna is still in the top 5 Quickest factory production Super Bikes on the planet. Here's a few Quick Facts about the V 65s, This and all well tuned 1983 V65 Magnas will go from zero to 100 MPH in under 7 seconds, they will go from zero to 60 MPH in 2 seconds in 1st gear,it is a 6 speed, and will do the quarter mile in 10.2 seconds at 135 MPH. Not only that but it will run slow and cruise as smooth as silk all day long due to the 4 cylinder V shaft driven set-up . If you are thinking of a first bike for yourself, you need to know these bikes were known as the Widow Makers. They go so fast so quickly, the rider doesn't realize they take awhile to stop. Thus the "Widow Maker" nick name. Enough braggin. I bought this Magna from the second owner, it had been sitting in a shed or garage for a few years and like most older bikes wound up all gummed up inside, which usually meant taking the bike to a Honda shop to get it going again, but the Honda shop and most shops want $100. bucks an hour just to look at them. Usually the carbs, master cylinders, brake calipers, dried out lines, seals, gaskets, cracked tires, corrosion all over the place, seat cracked, all dented up from crap falling on them while they rot in the garage or shed and most were left to die leaning up against the shed outside I have been playing with bikes all my life and if I bring them back to life and get 2 bucks an hour, I can turn them into a beautiful machine and would only cost me 5-6 grand. So I don't do that. I do search for the cream of the crop stored inside the garage, clean them up, new fluids, carb clean of course and a little TLC and presto ( months) you are looking at the results now. This Magna is the real deal, new battery, new tires new seat, spit shine not much else,....That's my story and I'm sticking to it. The price is fair the bike is great, and I hope it will go to a new home with a new owner that will care for it as much I have.......Thanks for lookin in. Feel free to call if you like, My number is 612 709 9630 ask for Richard . I will only deal thru Ebay....
