Vehicle Detail
I have a beast 1978 Jeep CJ7 up for a "NO RESERVE" auction. It has a clear Virginia title in my name. The Jeep is sitting on 3/4 ton, 8 lug diffs out of a Ford F250 with 4.11 gears and spools in the front and rear. This thing will go anywhere. When you lock the front hubs you are in true 4 WHEEL DRIVE !!! Previous owner was setting the Jeep up for a mud toy and due to health problems couldn't finish the project. Manual hubs, transfer case and transmission all work as they should. It has a good running 304 with headers, side exhaust and Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. The carburetor needs to be ran some. It doesn't want to idle down below about 1200 rpm. Engine holds really good oil pressure and runs about 180F on the temperature gauge. It has a fuel cell in the back, but I have the original gas tank and both the front and rear stock Jeep diffs that will be included with the sale of the Jeep if the winning bidder wants them to possibly put the Jeep back to its stock form. It has a 6" Rough Country suspension lift with the extended brake lines thats less than a year old also. It has has a 2" body lift, power steering, power disc brakes, new battery, new spark plugs and slip on Jeep seat covers. The body has some bad places (see pics), but the Jeep is priced accordingly. The lift kit and parts are worth over half of the starting price of the Jeep. Its turn key ready to fire it up and hit the woods, mud, trails, farm, hunting..... whatever you want to throw at it. I wouldn't recommend hitting the hard roads with it much because of the locker. It drives fine as long as you are not on pavement. It does want to push when you turn the wheels on pavement. Some of the gauges and lights work, but they will need some attention if you want all of them to work. I have a black soft top and doors that go with the Jeep. All the framework is good, but the top and doors itself really are not too good. They would keep the weather out, but thats about it. I also have some mirrors, side marker lenses, headlight switch and some other parts that go with the Jeep. Its a blast off road in the woods. Please look at all the pics, my feedback score, rating and bid with confidence. These old Jeeps are just a hobby of mine and I like to keep them going for folks to enjoy. Feel free to ask any questions. I have 2 shippers I deal with and can furnish the winning bidder with a quote and/or contact information. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
