I was forty-five years old. I’m now 72. The bike has been my personal sportbike for the past 27 years. I’ve put 17,000 miles on it. The CBR1000F was Honda’s premier sportbike for 1990. I have maintained it in accord with the factory recommended service intervals. The fully enclosed engine gives it a sleek, timeless beauty. Gorgeous red, white, and blue, patriotic, original paint still gleams and makes this machine stand out wherever it’s seen in public. It has proven to be fast, smooth, reliable and trouble free. It needs nothing to be considered in excellent shape. If you’re interested in a meticulously maintained CBR1000, look at this one carefully. Study the photos in detail and enlarge them to fully appreciate the condition and originality of this bike. Carbs have just been cleaned, and hydraulic brakes have new factory Honda seals and fluid. The inner fuel tank is rust free, as new. Tires are a matched set of DUNLOP Sport Max radials with good tread. Everything on this bike works correctly—switches, lights, gauges, horns. The engine starts easily and pulls strongly from idle to redline. Clutch, chain, sprockets, and transmission are all excellent. Yuasa battery is new and has a concealed Battery Tender connection. Original tool kit and owner’s manual are included. Both are like new and have never been used. Engine and frame numbers match. This bike is stock and not modified in any way. Note the beautiful custom made RKA soft luggage 4 piece package shown in some of the photos. All four pieces are like new and flawless--making packing for a trip a snap.
