My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2009 Mercedes-Benz GL320 Blutec Diesel with just 139k miles. I would rate the exterior of this Merc to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is an absolutely gorgeous SUV. It is finished in Iridium Silver over Black full leather interior. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this GL. The silver finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass all around. There are no noteworthy scratches, scrapes or other damage to point out. Pride in ownership shows throughout this full sized SUV. All of the trim and cladding are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The optional alloy wheels really give this truck an aggressive look and show well. The tires are a matching set of Bridgestones with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how exceptionally clean this GL320 looks inside and out. I would also rate the interior of this GL320 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, mirrors, sunroof, seats and locks all work properly. Even the back windows tilt out to vent with the touch of a button. The wood veneers show well and give the interior a warm feel. The leather seats are soft, supple and do not show any excessive wear. There are factory TV's on the back of the front seats for rear passenger entertainment. The second row folds out of the way easily for access to the 3rd row. Back in the 3rd row, there is an impressive amount of room for even adults. There is also a transparent roof panel (with sliding shade) for rear passengers. The 3rd row of seating folds flat with the touch of a button (from the back or front) to open up a generous amount of cargo room. The audio system is original and sounds great. There is the standard AM/FM stereo with CD. Additionally, this GL320 is satellite radio ready, should you choose to subscribe to their service. There are also installed connections for your iPod iPhone, etc. There is Bluetooth connectivity and steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for the driver, passenger and rear. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. A full set of owner's manuals as well as headphones, remote and two keys are included. The rear hatch also opens and lowers with the touch of a button. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this GL320. Mechanically, this GL320 BlueTec appears to be in good running and driving condition. In fact, this has been my personal driver for the last month. In that month, I have put about 2.000 miles on it with no trouble at all. The 3.0L turbocharged diesel engine starts right up and runs smoothly. I haven't seen any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on during my time driving this Mercedes. Occasionally, the AirMatic Malfunction message pops up in the information center but I've never had an issue with it. Perhaps there is a sensor not reading something correctly. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with zero issues. The AWD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, this truck drives straight and smooth with absolutely no complaints. The cruises easily at highway speed and accelerates impressively for a diesel SUV. My personal fuel economy over the last 3,000 miles has been an average of 21mpg for mixed driving!!! I just added 5 gallons of AdBlue DEF so you won't have to worry about that for a while. You can fly in and drive this gorgeous truck anywhere without a second thought or worry. As I said, I've personally put the last 3,000 miles on this truck with no complaints. In fact, everyone who rides in this GL can't get over how comfortable and smooth it is. If you've been looking for a clean diesel GL, this GL320 deserves your serious consideration. I bought it for my own personal use and have put several thousand miles on it myself. I have maintained it correctly, as I do all of my cars. Knowing what I know about newer diesels, I also performed some preventative maintenance...which will be appreciated by her next owner. I had the particulate filter pulled down and cleaned with mineral spirits, and then burned out with kerosene to remove any built up soot that may have been in there from the awful oil recommended by Mercedes-Benz, as this GL320 was previously dealer serviced. I then did an oil change with much heavier Liqui Moly full synthetic oil that will not vaporize like the "water" they recommend from the factory. Liqui Moly is what I run in my Ferrari, although a different weight, and is just about the best motor oil on the market. Lastly, I removed much of the engine insulation to help cool things down and prevent the aforementioned vaporization and consumption of oil that BlueTec's are known for. If you're looking for a used BlueTec, they're good diesels...just do your research and know what you have to do to keep them running forever like the old diesels did...because the things manufacturers are forced to do by the EPA to keep their vehicles compliant with new rules is ruining diesel automobiles. That will conclude my rant, haha. In short, I've taken important steps needed to help this girl run for a very long time. I am thinning out a few of my personal vehicles to make room for bulking up inventory for the beginning of next year as I am in need of room. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
