1971 Honda SL125 Frame VIN SL125S1007322Engine number SL125SE107821 Not a perfect show bike. Has a scrape on front fender as shown in photo. Scrape on exhaust as shown in photo. Handlebar is slightly (very slightly) skewed on the right side. Fender paint came from Randy Marbles Motors and can be flawlessly repaired there as he has the correct paint code. Exhaust scrape is very minor and would be concealed mostly with high heat exhaust paint or ceramic coat. I do not want to attempt to conceal this just to sell the bike so I is shown in the photo. If perfection is what you are looking for I do see NOS exhaust here on ebay from time to time. Handlebars are available NOS here on ebay and at many other sources. if you want the bike to be show condition. Some minor oxidation on throttle cable but I have an NOS cable that will go with the bike. Fuel tank and other parts are perfect. Seat is NOS. The engine was rebuilt with a Poweroll 150 cc kit just 400 miles ago. This engine runs super well. it starts easily, Idles smoothly and rides fantastically. It is still a 150cc so it is not fast but it will cruise around town and pull away from a stop very well. I have on one occasion even had it up to 65 on the freeway but I dont recommend this bike for freeway use at all.Transmission works perfectly. Shifts through all gears smoothly and I find neutral with no difficulty. Clutch plates are new and work great. These bike never really wore clutches out though because they don't make a lot of torque.The carb is Honda factory and works perfectly. This bike, with its 150cc kit, would make a lot more power though with a Sudco Mikuni 24mm carb. Something to think about if you plan to ride it a lot and dont mind non stock parts. I use Sudco Mikunis on my AHRMA GP200 Honda CL175 race bike and they really improve both power and throttle response tremendously. The rims are aluminum high shouldered racing rims. These are a very expensive build and much lighter than the factory steel rims. Way better looking to my eye but keep in mind these are not something that Honda ever put on these bikes. If you are looking for factory original look elsewhere.Lights work, horn works, brakes work. Speedo needs a new drive gear in the hub. Speedo itself is fine.there is a NOS speedo drive gear on ebay right now. Tachometer works perfectly. This engine does rev more easily and higher than any factory stock SL125 ever did so it is nice to have a good working tach. I have a clear California title in hand. This bike is currently registered as well so there are no back fees or fines when you transfer the title. I can help with shipping anywhere in the continental USA.
