Vehicle Detail
Rare 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL600 roadster. This has the 493hp twin-turbo V12. Top of the line for the R230 SERIES in 2004. Nice pewter color with charcoal and black leather interior. 31k miles. Local Dallas car that was well-maintained. Good Michelin tires. Panoramic roof. Parktronic. This car was over $130k new! The reason for the rebuilt title is this was a street water flood car from Dallas two years ago. This was not a heavy flood, no water ever penetrated the drivetrain, sound system, etc. LOTS of work and money has went into the car to make it a nice driver again. Over 2,000 miles driven since the repairs. Over $5,000 spent on repairs. The following was replaced or repaired in the last 6 months: New PSE pump in trunk (OEM Mercedes) Reman TCM and programming Both seats had new seat tracks installed including the motors and seat modules (seats are original leather) Replace alternator with rebuilt unit (V12 alternators are water cooled and $$$!) Both batteries replaced with new. Underhood battery is OEM Mercedes, the accessory battery in trunk is AutoZone Gold. Vario roof hydraulic latch unit replaced with rebuilt until from Top Hydraulics (better seals than factory.....these are notorious leakers on the R230 series and a PITA to replace) Car still gets lots of compliments and is a fun, spirited drive with the V12. Typical of a 13-year old vehicle there is some average wear on the car consisting of a few minor rock chips and light scratches here and there. Never wrecked or had any paintwork that I can see. Some of the small nuances are some clearcoat peeling from the left front wheel (see pic), some minor scratches on rear bumper, a couple of very small door dings on the passenger side. The interior is very clean, but also has a few flaws to include the Panoramic roof sun shade does not stay locked in position under hard acceleration, and there are some scuffs on the seat trim typical of the SL Series. This is not a new car, but was obviously well cared for. Distronic malfunction is showing on the dash. I encourage interested parties to come view and drive the car. Please ask any questions. Sold As-Is, No warranty. Texas buyers will need to pay applicable Tax, Title, and License fees. Out of state purchasers will be responsible for their own registration. Car caries a rebuilt Texas (marked Flood) title. Car is for sale locally, I reserve the right to end the auction prior to it expiring!
