Toyota Safety Sense… Most other cars these days including regular Prius and everything else have normal cruise control that you can set to hold a desired speed over 25mph. that technology has been around for a long time… HOWEVER… This car has forward mounded Millimeter radar and a forward facing camera that scans ahead of the car and electronically sees people and traffic in front and will adapt the speed of the vehicle based on what the car in front is doing vs. what speed the driver sets as the desire speed. So as a result by owning this car you gain the advantage that you become a far safer driver with much lower stress level by using cruise control during certain times such as: · heavy freeway traffic at speed between 10mph-80mph · Fog · Light Rain · Sun Glare · Dark Conditions On the major highways, You can almost forget about touching the gas or brake pedal while driving and the car will do most of the acceleration and braking automatically in a partial self-driving mode.
