This 45 year old 1972 Pontiac Ventura II is a true survivor car and a piece of GM history. It has a very solid body as it spent most of it's life in southern West Virginia before coming to Ohio about 20 years ago. Always stored indoors and never driven during the Ohio winters. These Pontiac Ventura II's with original Pontiac 350 motor's and 350 trans are getting extremely rare and hard to find in original restorable condition. The motor runs awesome and strong. The transmission was totally rebuilt about 16 years ago by AAMCO and has less that 2k miles on the rebuild. It has developed a minor leak from sitting in my garage, which may be a line or seal not sure. It has a dual exhaust that sounds aggressive. I was told but have not confirmed that the 350 motor's top end was rebuilt at some point and has a mild cam. It surely runs strong, has phenomenal oil pressure, and starts easily with no smoking. Interior will require a total rework if wanting the OEM look. This would make a nice winter project and would require little sheet metal replacement work as the floors and trunk are in very good shape with only minor holes as shown in the picture. The body panels are fairly straight, and very solid with overall 45 year old paint oxidation, some light surface rust, and minor rust through in typical 70's old school GM areas as shown in pictures. The classic Pontiac split grille is intact which is rare within itself as most of these got destroyed early on. Car is sold "as is".
