Vehicle Detail
This listing is for a garage-kept, numbers-matching, restored (with some “retro” features) 1973 Triumph Bonneville T140V. 1973 was the first year for this model Triumph and the first year for the 750cc engine, the 5-speed transmission, and the front disc brake. Everything works. It starts and runs well; feels strong. As with all Triumphs before 1975, it has right-side gear shift lever and left-side rear brake lever and is kick-start only. This bike has a lot of new parts in stainless steel, so you will never have to worry about rusty wheels, fenders, or brake parts. This bike also has: Fresh battery from Interstate.New original style seat cover, foam rubber, steel pan, and check-wire.New ignition coils and points.New contact breaker wiring harness.New original style low UK bars.New repro headlight bucket and repro Lucas lens.New Norton “Peashooter” style silencers (mufflers).New clamp-on exhaust pipes with exhaust adapters (to convert original exhaust pipe push-in style attachment to clamp-on attachment). All new rubber peg covers.New repro chrome upper fork covers.New rubber original Triumph-style fork gaiters (from UK) (the gaiters in the pictures were Norton-style and were replaced in the last month)New stainless steel fenders (rear from UK; front from USA).New stainless steel rims (from UK).New stainless steel spokes (from UK).New Dunlop tires, tubes, and rim tape.New stainless steel master cylinder for front brake.New front brake hose.New stainless steel brake caliper pistons.New front brake pads.New front brake rotor.New M.A.P. brand clutch disk pack with new pressure plate and clutch basket.New clutch cable.Original gas tank repainted in black with red Triumph scallops, silver pinstripes, and clear top-coat. (Original tank color was metallic red).Original tank badges in nice condition, repainted with black and white.New steering column lock with key.New steering column bearings.New fork oil.New engine oil (just changed early September 2017).Fiberglass “retro” style side covers and “retro” style chrome/black air cleaners.Zener diode relocated to just below headlight using pre-1970 Triumph heat sink.New OEM fuel lines with swaged fittings. Comes with owner’s manual, (original) service manual (repro), and parts manual (repro). NO RESERVE. Well over $6000 invested, along with many hours of "labor of love." Buyer must arrange and pay for pick up and transportation.
