1986 Honda Elite 250

For sale, this lovely vintage Honda scooter that looks like it just rolled out of a time machine. This is an Elite 250, or Spacey as it was known in Japan. The Elite 250 was the biggest and fastest of the Elite line and predecessor to the Honda Helix. It will cruise at more than 70 mph depending on the size/weight of the rider. While not truly rare, the Elite 250 is a little harder to come by than other Honda scooters of the same vintage, and examples in good condition are, in fact, rather rare. I bought this scooter from the estate of the original owner and it's in immaculate shape. With barely any miles on it, this scooter is in like-new condition. This Elite has just three small flaws. The first is a small crack in the handlebar cover panel (pictured), and the second is that the front badge is missing because the original owner removed that badge to install a terrible aftermarket windshield, which I removed. In place of that badge is a leftover vinyl cover. I haven't had time to scour eBay for a replacement. The third is a small crack in the front bumper that has been successfully glued. This scooter was garage kept for 30+ years, and it has never been down that I can tell. Otherwise, the black paint, gold pin stripes and gold finish on the wheels are immaculate. The wheels are shod in a pair of near-new Michelin Bopper tires. Seat is also like new with no tears. This Elite 250 includes the matching factory clamshell top case and I have the key for it. This scooter also has a pair of brand new, modern, upgraded rear shocks, which corrects the Elite's original, terrible rear suspension.
