Deposit is still Non Refundable.We are selling my Wifes 450 SL because she has already Purchased a newer SL , after owning it for 10 years. It was made in December of 1972, which makes it one of the first 450 SLs made . It is Number 9508. She has 94,000 Original Miles. 19,000 put on by her. We are retired, so she doesnt drive much. She is the first one of that year we have seen with Power Windows. We are the second owner. We bought her from a 85 year old lady named Grace that wasnt driving anymore, in Rossmore , a Upscale Retirement Comunity here in Walnut Creek California. Her husband bought it new, for her 50th Birthday. So, She was originally sold and still lives in Northern California , That means Rust and Corrosion Free. Everything works like new, except the air condition that stopped blowing cold at the beginning of this Summer. She is in Excellent all Original Condition. She even still has a Factory working Battery Cut Off Switch.Definitely a Survivor after 45 Years. Paint looks Good and Shinny with no Accidents or Scrapes, everything lines up perfect, a Minor Ding or Scratch , some age here and there. The Interior is in almost Perfect Condition ! Both of the Original Tops look great. the Soft Top could use some stitching, maybe a new back window to be perfect. the Front of the Hard Top does show some age on the paint up close, the rubber and chrome trim are great though. She has always had a Covered Spot. Has never seen Snow or driven in the Winter. The only things that have been replaced over the years are normal wear and tear items including, Battery and Tray , Radiator Hoses,Complete Steering Linkage for the rubber was worn, Michelin Tires. A Stereo 10 years ago , Bosch Wiper Blades , New Exhaust including Muffler. Regular Tune Ups , Spark Plugs, including New Bosch Wires last time. Just had the Front Brakes done.Car has had regular Servicing, needed or not with Mobil 1 Oil Changes every 3,000 Miles. She Runs and Drives like new. Doesnt leak a drop of anything. We would drive her anywhere without a worry. I have been driving Grace, as we call her everyday since I posted her for sale. She drives better than she looks !! Steering wheel is Straight as can be going down the freeway . I forgot how much power, how Smooth and quiet she is going down the road. No Rattles or shakes, She literally drives tight, like a New Mercedes , but feels like a Classic, Head turning work of Art.
