My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is an exceptionally nice 2004 Volkswagen Passat GLS wagon with the desirable 1.8T and 5 speed manual transmission powertrain combination. I would rate the exterior of this Passat to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for it's age and mileage. If you follow my auctions, you will know that I rarely give the "excellent" rating to any vehicle. It is reserved for the most exceptional examples...and this is one of those vehicles. As you can see, this is a gorgeous wagon. It is finished in Stonehenge Gray over Charcoal leather interior, which looks good. As with any older vehicle, please don't expect it to be perfect. However, this is one of the cleanest B5 Passats I've had in quite some time. The finish shines nicely and looks as smooth as glass all around. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. The body lines are all nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Passat. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this VW looks inside and out. I would also rate the interior of this Passat to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for it's age and mileage. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this Volkswagen. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean. The leather seats are clean, comfortable and show virtually no wear. As you look around the interior of this Passat, it would easily pass for a car with less than half the miles. None of the buttons look like they've ever been pushed. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is the original Volkswagen Monsoon premium sound, which sounds great. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Again, please check out each of the photos carefully to see how exceptionally clean this Passat came in. She is a fresh NEW CAR TRADE and was pictured exactly how she came in...I didn't even wash it. Mechanically, this Passat appears to be in good running and driving condition. The turbocharged 1.8L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The only bad thing I can say about this Passat is that you can hear a slight exhaust leak when you first start it, while the secondary air pump is running. Once secondary air turns off (about 60-90 seconds), you can barely hear it. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. She hits the road as straight as an arrow. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the desirable 5 speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. This Passat is an absolute pleasure to drive. With proper care, these cars can go 300k+ miles. Last year I sold one with 319k on it that ran like a top. Considering the condition of the rest of this Passat, it doesn't look like this car has ever needed for anything. Our preferred payment method is Cash in Person. For those customers who plan to have their vehicle shipped or cannot make it in person within 7 days, you may also pay for your vehicle by Certified Check or Bank-To-Bank Wire Transfer. If paying by Bank Check or Bank Wire Transfer, funds must clear before your vehicle is available for release. We Do Not Accept PayPal or Credit Cards...at all...period. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without prior written permission may be assessed a storage fee of $10/ day. Storage fees will be deducted first from any monies paid to Liberty Auto Exchange. Non-Paying Bidders: We take what we do very seriously and ask that potential bidders take placing their bid just as seriously. Non-Paying Bidders will be assessed a re-listing fee of $249. This fee is considered due and payable, without demand, to Liberty Auto Exchange on the 8th day from the end of the auction. Non-Paying Bidders will be reported to eBay, blocked from bidding on future auctions and may be referred to our Collection Agency for credit reporting and fee recovery. Fees and Taxes The only fee we charge is the $149 Administrative Fee that is also disclosed in the first sentence of the written description. Because we sell with NO RESERVE, we have no way to control how much (if any) money we make per vehicle. This fee helps us isolate a few of our fixed, per transaction expenses in a way that is fair to everyone. The winning bidder is responsible for paying all required fees to their respective state of origin.
