I have a super nice 1978 Jeep CJ7 up for a no reserve auction. Ebay fees have gotten outrageous, so I am just going to put the reserve as the starting bid. I bought this Jeep from a guy that had started restoring the Jeep and had to sell it due to health reasons. It has been painted about 2 years and kept inside by him and myself. Both front fenders were replaced when it was painted. I had to buy a lot of parts and put a lot of time, money and labor into it to get it where it is today. I don't think you can find a nicer 1978 CJ7 for the money. This Jeep is turn key and ready to go. Winning bidder can drive it home if they so desire and if you are willing to put the gas in it. It gets about 12 mpg. driving around the country roads. AMC-360 V8 engine and GM Turbo 400 transmission both rebuilt with about 5500 miles on them. Edelbrock 4-barrell carb with chrome valve covers and air cleaner. New starter, battery, solenoid and complete Painless wiring harness, new gas tank, sending unit, fuel lines front to back, fuel pump and belly pan for the gas tank all installed in the last month. New U-joints and 3" Superlift suspension lift installed less than a year ago. The stickers are still on the springs that came on the lift kit. All lights work, heater fan works, gauges work using aftermarket mechanical gauges so you really know whats going on. Wipers work with new wiper blades also. All seatbelts are in the Jeep and work as they should. True dual exhaust front to back with turbo mufflers. The Jeep sounds good and its not too loud. Brakes are good for manual disc on the front and drums on the back. They are manual, so you have to push on them. It has power steering, 15x10" aluminum bullet hole wheels with 33x12.50x15 B.F. Goodrich all terrain T/A's with about 60% tread left. They have some dry rot cracks from sitting, but I have had no trouble with them and I have driven the Jeep probably close to 100 miles. The Jeep has been painted almost 2 years, but sat inside most of the time, so it still looks very good. The Jeep had some rust repair, but it was done with metal panels and not full of bondo. Its loaded with stainless extras, new windshield to cowl weatherstrip, new carpet, zip on roll bar padding, console, rear seat and bikini top. It also has a rare cup holder that mounts under the dash. It has a new Kenwood/Memphis stereo system with ipod/mp3/android hookups with remote. It sounds really good. The Jeep comes with a hardtop and doors also. The hatch for the hardtop is fair, but not as nice as the rest of the Jeep. The Jeep has the Quadra-trac option, so you don't have to get out and lock the hubs. It has a vacuum operated switch mounted on the dash for 4-wheel drive and a small shift lever in the floor for the low range side of the transfer case. This Jeep has had a lot of money and time spent on it and it shows. It is a head turner and I get compliments everytime I drive it. It has so many new parts that I know I have left some out. The old CJ series Jeeps are getting hard to find at a reasonable price that aren't all rusted out. I like to keep them on the road. Its just a hobby, but I enjoy keeping the old stuff going because you just don't see them anymore. Mileage on the Jeep is really unknown. It show 65,119 but will go up as I drive the Jeep weekly. This Jeep is not a frame off restoration, if it was it would be a 16,000 starting bid and not a 6,000. This is an above average, dependable, nice driver quality Jeep. I take my daughter and wife out at least a couple times a week and ride around the country roads, down by the creeks where its cool and just enjoy the old CJ.
