Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am "clone". Bought it a few years ago as a fun car to have. Had a lot of fun with it. It isn't a showroom quality trailer queen for sure but it is an outstanding driver. Guaranteed to be one of the nicest most sorted second gen firebirds on the market, and a whole lot of car for the money. Rust free car, no bondo, no replacement body panels (other than shaker hood)Around 133,000 miles on the chassis (the engine was replaced, I go into that later) A lot of man hours have gone into fixing electrical gremlins and all he squeaks and rattles associated with cars of this age. A lot of upgrades and extras brought to the table. Chassis/ suspension - Hotchkis TVS stage 1 suspension + Hotchkis subframe connectors. (The kit includes sway bars front/rear and end links, new front springs, new leaf springs in rear. Tie rod end links, new bushings - Bilstein shocks.- Slotted Stoptech rotors up front with EBC pads. Still drums in the rear. - Stainless steel braided brake lines. - Polyurethane body bushings (energy)- Zero rust whatsoever - New wheel bearings/axle bearings in front and rear - BFG radial TAs fairly new. 235 width on all corners ~10,000 miles on them Engine/ Trans- Replacement Goodwrench 305 from last owner (no paperwork on it sorry) no idea mileage. Quadrajet M4Me carb. Engine runs good. Slight tappet sound when cold but strong otherwise. - 3 row Champion Aluminum radiator + cooler thermostat (driven this car Back and forth from Palm Springs with no overheating)- New plugs, new plug wires- K&N air filter - Regular oil changes with Mobil One full synthetic.-Turbo 350 transmission, replaced fluid, shifts very crisp, doesn't slip. - 10 bolt rear end, low gearing but perfect for highway driving. This car will cruise at 80 without breaking a sweat. Interior - New T-Top and door weatherstripping - Dynamat throughout entire cabin and trunk. - Tinted T-Tops - New carpet - Procar Rally Seats with lumbar support. - New headliner - New dashcap - Aftermarket armrest/cup holder - Retrosound Bluetooth/ USB stereo system - JBL 6x8 speakers - Leather steering wheel - Updated steering column - Map console - New door panels - AC works perfectly Body- Actual shaker hood and shaker hood assembly for 305, super rare part. (have original hood if so desired) - Upgraded projector beam headlights with relays wired into original loom (full OEM functionality) - Original 15x7 snowflake wheels - Optima red top battery Cons - Previous paint job is chipping in some places - Some of the panels, including the new hood, are not perfectly aligned. I was going to have this done when I took it to paint. - Heater does not work (have new heater core). Still have not needed the heater with this car. - Have new alternator (doesn't need it just a part I have that works for SBC. All yours with the car) I have various other parts for this car as well. If you have any other questions email is the best way to get a hold of me. No trades please.
