Vehicle Detail

1956 FORD F100 Up for sale is a 1956 Ford F100 this is an older build put on the road in 1997 and was a complete ground up restoration. The paint and chrome is starting to show its age, see pictures. It has a 350 chevy crate motor the intake manifold is Edlebrock performer the carb is a Edlebrock 600 the exhaust manifolds are from Sanderson the air filter takes a Fram CA3597 oval style air filter. the distributor is a Mallory Unilite and also has a surge protector. Never weld with the distributor hooked up or it will blow the Unilite. The transmission comes out of a 1970 Chevy Impala it is a 350 and has been completely rebuilt and has a shifter kit in it. A remote fuel filter was installed canister type with shut off valve right front wheel well behind it is a electric Mr. Gasket fuel pump. The air conditioning is from Vintage Air, the condenser is aftermarket, the compressor is a Sanyo pump. The radiator is a custom made 3 row with trans cooler in the bottom. The front end comes out of a 197? Chevy Step Van it has lowered spindles and springs. The front end has been completely rebuilt. The steering is a 1 ½ ton truck manual box. The rear end is out of a 1970 Chevy Impala it has been completely rebuilt. The rear springs are from Pete and Jake. The break reservoir is serviced from inside the truck by pulling out the floor plate they are power brakes with a remote booster and adjustable portioning valve break lines are stainless steel. Gas tanks are new home built tanks with baffles. Sized off of a 1955 F100 tanks which was originally in the left running board so the right was made in reverse. The gas gauge is in one tank and reads both tanks since it has cross over lines and is filled by one single point filler with a breather line for air evac, the tanks hold approximately 20 gallons each. There is 250 – 300 pounds of steel railroad track welded into the rear of the frame to help hold the rear end down. The battery is located behind the rear end and is serviced from underneath the truck. If needed to be jumped you would go through the right rear fender and there are two battery lugs located on the bottom of the bed. All cross members have been welded into the frame to make a more rigid frame and take out some of the flex. The electrical system is from Ron Francis the Wire Works. The electric windows are from Specialty Windows The after market gauges are from Classic Gauge. The clock is not functional. The steering column is from I Did It; it is a GM style column. the steering wheel is from Billet the cruise control is from Dakota gauges. The stereo is a Clarion AMFM cassette. With a six-disk cd changer located under the drivers seat pan. The antenna is located in the frame and is insulated. There are two 6 x 9 speakers in the kick panels the cab is fully insulated with aluminum backed insulation to help hold out the heat and noise. The windshield wipers has a new motor and switch. Doors operate off of a electric button. In case of battery failure you would use a cable pull inside and out. When the truck was built the following new parts were installed running boards, front lower gravel shield, and tail gate, and rear fenders, and all seals and fasteners, and the bed wood which is mahogany. It also has a lower splash /gravel shield and stainless bed slats and bed corners. Body modifications the roof was lowered 3 inches. The door handles were shaved inside and outside. The front end was flipped and has adjustable hinges in front. The rear bumper was removed and a rolled panel was made to accommodate the tail lights which come from a Nissan third brake light and are converted, the pan also has a license plate door that opens to a hidden trailer hitch. The body also only came with one set of louvers on the right side and I installed a second set on the left side. I built the panel under the dash board to accommodate the air-conditioning. I also built the seat pan, the seat is out of a Chevy Truck and has a arm rest built into it. The wheels are Ultra European style wheels that match the steering wheel. The following parts have recently been replaced and are brand new: Tires BF Goodrich Radial TA Mr Gasket electric fuel pump All new stainless fuel hoses New fuel filter canister assembly Rebuilt carburetor A little history about this truck it started life as a farm truck in the 1950s in Culver City CA. When the farming died down it became a Gardner's truck and was used till 1978. At which time I purchased it from the original Owner. and it started its long transformation into a street rod I completed the build in 1997. So I am the second owner of this truck and you could be the third owner. Sold as is and must be paid for by cash in person. $500 non refundable payment due within 24 hours of auction end by pay pal, full payment due within 7 days in cash in person.
