2000 BMW R1100RT You are bidding on an outstanding 2000 BMW R1100RT. This bike has been well maintained over the years, comes with a complete service history and original manuals. It has proven 100% reliable since I purchased it in 2009 and it has never let me down. It has always been stored in a heated garage and never ridden on salty roads, ice or snow. It has no accident history and has never been down. In addition to being a great bike, what really sets this bike apart from others like it, are the many high quality extras. I wanted a bike that I could use for comfortable, long distance touring and I spared no expense. Included with the bike are the items listed below. With each item listed, I’ve also included a website link providing greater detail. Aesthetically the bike is very good, especially considering its age. There is a small “rub” on the right had mirror that occurred in transport, but other than a few tiny stone chips, that’s about it. PLEASE NOTE: Recently, when riding two-up at around 70 mph in 5th gear, I noticed just a hint of clutch slip when applying full throttle. This is a worse case situation and during normal riding I’ve not noticed it, but in the interest of full disclosure, I point it out. At some point in the future it will probably need a new clutch. Other than that, I’ve had zero mechanical problems with the bike. The engine is strong, does not burn oil and has good compression (170 psi in both cylinders). The transmission is sound and shifts reliably. All the gauges, lights, switches and indicators work as they should. A new Odyssey AGM battery was installed this year. I’ve tried to be thorough and honest in my description, but if you have any questions, or if I've left something out that's important to you, please don’t hesitate to ask. It's important to me that whoever buys this bike is happy with their purchase. This bike isn’t perfect, but you’d have to search long and hard to find one equally nice. INSTALLED OPTIONS: Electronic Cruise Control, professionally installed and manufactured by MC Cruise in Melbourne, Australia. This is an absolute top of the line unit. Garmin Zumo 550 GPS in a Touratech locking mount. This GPS has been recently refurbished and include a new LCD screen and digitizer. Givi E52 Maxia Monokey 52 Liter Topcase with optional backrest and top rack. This case is also fitted with an AdMore High Output LED lighting package. Also included is the original BMW rear top rack. Doran 360M tire pressure monitors. Provide front and rear tire pressures along with various alarm functions. Motolight running lights, controlled with BMW Euro Switch. These are top quality caliper mounted aluminum lights with halogen bulbs. BMW Supplemental LED Brake Light. This is a genuine BMW modulating brake light, designed to give you a fighting chance against distracted drivers. Suburban Machinery rear footpeg lowering kit. Allows the passenger to stretch out their legs. Custom waterproof digital voltmeter. Super accurate and fully waterproof. BMR Products shelf. As you can see from the photographs, this shelf hold the GPS, TPM and Voltmeter. It is powder coated heavy gauge steel and shock mounted. RKA Tank bag.
