Up for sale is a 1974 Porsche 911 Targa. A little background on the vehicle since I purchased it in 2005. I bought the car in May of 2005 and drove it that summer before I went to college. I drove it the following summer of 2006 and it has sat in storage since the Fall of 2006. The car is not a numbers matching car as the previous owner had a rebuilt engine installed by German Auto Service LTD in Grand Rapids, MI. Install took place in 2001 (see pictures for engine purchase and vehicle service history). The car ran up until putting it into storage, but due to sitting for 10+ years it currently is not running. It will need to have the typical service done to any car that has sat that long to get it road worthy. It has developed an oil leak since been in storage. I suspect the S line running from the oil tank to the motor has deteriorated (not uncommon in older 911s). Another flaw I must point out is the vandalism that occurred while in storage. As you will see from the photos that someone decided to key a certain four letter word into the passenger door. I have tried to post all the flaws via photos that I could identify in going over the car upon making this listing (door keyed, targa top wear, passenger door rust spot, crack in dash, wear on drivers seat). If you have any questions, would like additional photos, or would like to have you, your mechanics, whoever look at the vehicle let me know. This is a solid car and would be a an awesome little project that does not need a ton of work. This 911 deserves to be out on the road and not cooped up in storage any longer.
