Vehicle Detail

1963 Studebaker GT Hawk Coupe.Nice and comfortable touring car.Looked over the car - can't find anything the car needs - all works, runs and drives good - drives nice and straight down the highway. This is a 50 year old car - so something may stop working tomorrow, that's the life of a street rodder.People pleaser at the car shows & street rod events and folks like to share their stories of their Studebaker family car - fun times.Pat & Linda Newell live in Clovis, New Mexico and would be happy to show the car to an interested buyer or auto appraiser.Pat cares for his wife who has health issues, so it take him a little bit to arrange care for Linda while he gets the car out.I am one of the Newell's good friends, he came over to Lubbock so that I could help him place his classic car on e-bay. I own Maaco Collision Repair in Lubbock and you can call me with questions (806-792-1570) and I have 105 pictures of the car and a video of it running. This car was previously owned by Don Hardy of Don Hardy Race Cars & Don Hardy Irrigation Engines in Floydada, Texas. Mr. Hardy built a beautiful black show car GT Touring car and sold this one to Pat years ago. Don Hardy is well known on professional drag racing as a builder of quality Funny Cars and Pro Stock Cars. On Jul-15-17 at 11:06:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Had a few questions and phone calls;1. ZERO rust - inspected underneath, around gas filler to trunk, around glass, rickers, etc.....all solid absolutely rust free Texas car.Mr. Newell owned the car for 6 years.Don Hardy 6 to 7 years.Mr. Hardy bought the car from a gentleman in Ft. Worth who had it in his garage for 10 years.2. Timings gears only - (no timing chain) - in good working order3. Sign of a leak; Pat did have a power steering leak- he replaced the hoses and now no leaks.4. This is a numbers matching car; no modifications all stock/original and good working order.5. The car does have factory air conditioning - that is good working order.6. The vehicle was driven daily and was taken on 200 to 300 mile trips every month. - no problems.7. Pat is an active member of the North Texas/New Mexico Studebaker Club and attend most of their meeting and activities around the state.8. Headliner is in very good condition with no signs of damage or wear.9. Alignment & Frame Center in Clovis, NM (Harold & Jason Noack) kept the car in good repair and maintained. (575) 762-2567.
