I am reluctantly selling my 65 Corvette. Current health issues and future surgery have made my decision to sell. This Corvette is true three owner car that has stayed in the local area all of its life. The car was purchased new at Loehman Blasius Chevrolet in Waterbury Ct. and remained in Waterbury until 1974 when the second owner purchased the vehicle who lived in Watertown. He owned the vehicle until February 2014 when I purchased the vehicle from his estate. The car now resides 10 miles away in the town of Southbury.Documentation shows the vehicle has only 40,379 original miles. There are numerous clues that the mileage is true.To my knowledge the engine has never been taken out of the vehicle and there is no evidence it has ever been taken apart.Both trim tags are intact and in perfect condition all verifing the true history of the vehicle.The car is currently and originally painted Milano Maroon (One repaint in base coat clear coat)Has black leather interior completely replaced in 2008 seats ,carpeting, door panels.Original 4 speed transmission.Newer Black convertible top.Tinted front windshield.Am / Fm radio (Not working)4:11 Posi rear endSolid lifter 327/365 horsepower V-8 all numbers matching.Sold new with hardtop ( Not included in sale) I do not have the top.Gauges work correctly and were also restored.7,000 Rpm tachometer 80 Psi oil pressure gauge Original Teakwood steering wheel Wing windows were welded at some point and need to be replaced. I have N.O.S. Ones included with the sale.Bumpers are excellent Chrome is excellent Ac Delco battery Wipers, horn, lights, heater, work as they should. Headlight motors work but are lazy Emergency brake does not work Under hood is original untouched Car shows and drives as a 40 k mile car should Paint is 8 out of 10 with only minor chips and scratches shine is what is expected for a quality base clear paint job.NOTICE... The rear frame torque boxes have been professionally replaced by a certified Corvette restoration shop. They were replaced with new rear frame sections not welded fabricated pieces.The car runs and drives as it should and also rides as a low mileage vehicle should.If you are not familiar with the 327 -365 you will be pleasantly surprised by the sound of the solid lifter cam and the power at your disposal.
