Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the bes...t of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 Volkswagen GTI GLX. I would rate the exterior of this GTI to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking little hatch. She is finished in Matchstick Red over Tan. The finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this GTI. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with deep tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this GTI to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are worn. The carpets show some marks from age. Also, the driver's seat has seen better days. The glove box latch is broken, too. Nothing uncommon at this age and mileage...just want to be sure you know what you're getting so be sure to look closely at each of the photos as they are part of the description. The power windows and locks work. Both front seats are heated. The audio system sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this GTI appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.8L VR6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. She hits the road as straight as an arrow. The worst I can say about this GTI VR6 is that it'll need a new exhaust. It does have an aftermarket exhaust but it is broken at at least one point underneath so it is quite loud. You'll have to either repair or replace it. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. If you're looking for a fun car, it's hard to go wrong with a GTI VR6. These are quick cars bone stock and have tons of potential untapped power if you want to put some money into it. I am currently building a VR6 Turbo stroker engine for another car of mine that will easily put down 600hp. You can have some real fun in one of these if you want. For those customers who plan to have their vehicle shipped or cannot make it in person within 7 days, you may also pay for your vehicle by Certified Check or Bank-To-Bank Wire Transfer. If paying by Bank Check or Bank Wire Transfer, funds must clear before your vehicle is available for release. We Do Not Accept PayPal or Credit Cards...at all...period. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without prior written permission may be assessed a storage fee of $10/ day. Storage fees will be deducted first from any monies paid to Liberty Auto Exchange. Non-Paying Bidders: We take what we do very seriously and ask that potential bidders take placing their bid just as seriously. Non-Paying Bidders will be assessed a re-listing fee of $249. This fee is considered due and payable, without demand, to Liberty Auto Exchange on the 8th day from the end of the auction. Non-Paying Bidders will be reported to eBay, blocked from bidding on future auctions and may be referred to our Collection Agency for credit reporting and fee recovery. Fees and Taxes The only fee we charge is the $149 Administrative Fee that is also disclosed in the first sentence of the written description.
