Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the bes...t of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1997 Mercedes-Benz E320 sedan. I would rate the exterior of this E320 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. This Merc is finished in Royal Indigo, which is a rare color. Overall, the finish shines nicely for it's age and mileage. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific E320, the hood is noticeably faded and there are a few blemishes on the trunk. There is a noticeable spot of rust on the bottom of the RR door as well as a few smaller bubbles under the paint here and there...nothing unusual for a Benz of this age. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. The body lines are nice and straight. There is something wrong with the hood latch as it will not open. Aside from that, the doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a matching set of Pirelli's with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this E320 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards show well for their age and are tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. This is an older car, so please expect some wear such as broken button, worn surfaces, etc. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The seating surfaces show normal wear, but nothing excessive. The power windows, locks, seats and sunroof all work properly. The switchblade key is broken. It is still usable but you have to be careful with it. The audio system is original and will require the code to operate. You can get the code from any Mercedes dealer from the last 8 digits of the VIN. I'll try to get this from my local Benz dealer, if I think of it. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for the driver and passenger. The heater works well but the air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold. The trunk is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this E320 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.2L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. You can feel a pulsation in the brake pedal if you stand on the brakes hard from highway speed, but they stop the car just fine. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. In the information center, it displays the message "display defective" with, what looks to be, a picture of the radiator. I don't know what that means...everything seems to be working fine. All of the instrumentation seems to be working. I let this car idle for about an hour while I washed it and took these photos and it kept perfect temperature. It kept perfect temperature on my road test, too. The big straight six makes great power and feels smooth. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, you can feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel. Also, she pulls very slightly to the right. Everything feels tight and I didn't see any unusual wear on the tires, so I'm guessing a $50 alignment would take care of that. She cruises easily and gets around pretty well for an old girl. If you're looking for a W210 with the old school straight six, they're getting harder and harder to find. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
