Up for auction is my 2004 Honda S-2000. This is the first year of the AP2 series with the 2.2 L DOHC I4. This car is in like new condition, adult owned and maintained, and the only reason I'm offering it for sale is that my lovely wife has determined that at 65 and retired, it is time for me to grow up! She wants a new "Family Sedan" (read that oversized, under powered, stodgy, old people's land yacht that I will hate to drive!) so my Sports Car will have to go. OK, so here are the particulars, first the good. This car is my "Baby" and is garage kept and fully maintained by yours truely. It is currently riding on Enkei PF01 wheels with new BF Goodrich Sport Comp II A/S tires and the Original Factory wheels are included with Sumitomo summer only tires (front tires have about 80% tread, rears are new). The soft top was replaced about 3 years ago, the factory suspension was replaced 2 years ago with Urethane bushings throughout, and I installed a new 3 core Mishimoto radiator last year. The brakes have been up graded with Stainless Steel lines, slotted rotors, and new calipers, and I have an extra set of new Honda High Performance pads for it. The seats are in good condition with seat locking bolts on both, the radio has been replaced with a new Pioneer power head (DEH-X3700UI) hooked up to all the factory dash controls. The K&N FIPK intake is less than a year old (the original intake is included) and the timing chain tensioner was replaced 4 years ago. The original Factory fabric cover and the convertable top cover are included as well as a full set of Honda Factory Service Manuals and maintenance records. Now for the bad. There is a small amount of wear on the driver's seat left bolster (no tears, cracks, or holes, just wear), the "loose gas cap" code appears on occation (then clears itself) so there may be a loose fitting in the fill line (I recently replaced the cap), and the button to open the cup holder is missing. The fenders have been professionally rolled for use with oversized tires or a lowered stance (the previous owner had it done) and it is currently equipped with an Invidia test pipe (the original Cat is included). Now for the fine print. Terms are cash on delivery (Cashiers Checks are acceptable but only after they have been cleared by both my and your banks. Sorry, but I got a fake Cashier's Check a few years back and it took 6 months and a bunch of lawyer's fees to get my money back). Car is located in beautiful downtown Hilham, TN and if you want to test drive it, bring cash 'cause if you bend it you bought it! Last thing, I really don't want to sell, just doing it because Ma wants me to, so don't make any "low-ball" offers (for the car that is, not Ma). OK, one more "Last thing" for you Dads wanting to get Junior a swell Graduation Present, THE S-2000 IS NOT A BEGINNERS CAR! These cars like to run, they like to slide, and they are way too fast for a young driver. If you want this car for a youngster, plan on sending him or her to a good High Performance Driving School before turning them loose with it.
